BYOND Key: Pillowsnotperky

Character Names: Cals Raseem

Species you are applying to play: Tajaran

What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Blue-Grey (RGB 34, 37, 50)

Have you read our lore section's page on this species?:Yes! Rather intensively

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question

Why do you wish to play this specific race: Because Tajarans are a well designed, very deep species, with a lot of depth, cool attributes, and slightly tragic history to build a nice, strong character on. Plus, I love me some cat-beasts in art, and it's always been fun to play one! Tajarrra arre good rrace, Verry fun. :3

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Humans are more gregarious, and slightly more technologically advanced. Tajarans are often written as either verry stand-offish, or very cuddly, dependent on their back-grounds and IC experiences.

To play a Tajara is to play an alien with enough odd, exotic attributes to make them interesting, but with enough of the familiar to make them easily accepted.

Character Name: Ziir Lucienn

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Born a Zhan-Khazan Tajara in the deep mountain villages, Ziir spent most of his life running and aiding the running of his father's mine, Gathering ore from deep within the earth to refine into resources for first the masters, suffering his childhood under their oppresive yoke, then for the greater good of Adhomai after the revolution had burnt and scalded through his village.

As years wore on, Ziir lost interest in the vagaries, the harshness, and the concerns of Ahdomai. Leaving the planet behind and seeking employment wit the Great, Encompassing Megacorp of Nanotrasen. Leaving the family mine to be managed by a worthy succesor, Ziir left for the stars, and never looked back.

There are rumours that Ziir's flight from the planet was guided by another, darker circumstance. But they are only whispers, of a failed relationship and a dead child, and even those seemed to fade with every step Ziir took away from the world.

What do you like about this character? He has depth, a dark and mysterious past, that can easily be ignored for lighter moments.

How would you rate your role-playing ability?: easy 8, maybe a 9! if someone says 10, then they want something from me XD.

I love Cals and I am sure that Pillow will be able to handle a Tajaran easily. My only hope was that there would be more characters of yours for me to comment on. I love this backstory though and hope to see you in cat form on station soon.

Sorry for the wait. For future reference, if an application sits for longer than 4 days with no input from a lore dev in charge of that race, the OP can send me a forum PM for an immediate overview and decision.

Your OP references the Masters, but they aren't a thing in the Aurora lore for the Tajaran. Are you sure that you've read the Tajaran lore on the Aurora wiki? The rest of the application looks acceptable, but that snag is potentially a big one and I'd just like to be sure that you understand the differences in the Aurora-cat lore from Bays.

I apologise for the ambiguity, I meant to reference the Plutocracy that ruled Ahdomai before the 2420-2421 uprising.

His father worked directly for one of the Noble Haji families, mining the valuable Ores.

It wouldn't entirely be unlikely for Tajaran to have their own slang names for the plutocracy. The masters, the rulers, so on and so forth.

Sorry for the wait. I really don't see anything else wrong with this application; I'm willing to approve it.

Thanks! The wait was no problem :)
