How long have you been playing on Aurora?: A good estimate maybe 5 months.

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I do not really see many heads in engineering so I thought it was about time I applied for the position.

Why did you come to Aurora?: One of my friends recommended the server to me.

Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay in essence is the act of taking yourself out of your shoes and placing yourself in a foreign mind of your own creation. Progress of this entity is entirely up to you and is usually referenced by the actions of an outside stimuli. Your character is what you make it and you have full control over its development. I believe roleplay should be just that; interactions with your creation and other peoples.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: A head of staff should try and guide its department to their purpose by providing a supportive and authoritative role through-out the round. They should take responsibility for their departments actions and supervise any actions the department takes.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Heads of staff generally are the representing force of the server to new players. This means that they should strive to know exactly what their job entails and their department's job entails. It is of no use if a head of staff doesn't know exactly what they are doing and this can leave a bad impression on new players. I know quite a lot about engineering as it has been the job I play the most since joining the server. I would try to help newer players whenever possible and share my knowledge with a degree of accuracy when required.

Character name: Kix

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs):

Kix is the further development stage of engineering IPC named KI X. When KI X was created from an old salvaged cyborg named KI it remained genderless however with the development of IPC 'coverings' KI essentially came to the stage where it would have to pick a gender to advance its development. Being the explorer KI set out on a mission to passively scan any humans it encountered for a potential new look. However towards the end of compiling this large database KI X underwent a rather destructive system crash which left it in a broken state.

After quite a few months of progressively purging KI X's broken mind of all these reference images the roboticists working on KI found that quite a few images had mixed with the core of its personality module. This discovery proved rather fascinating and it was decided to try and save this mash of data once the rubbish had been removed. It seemed that KI X had formed a female personality and through a lot of merging had also selected an image for itself. KI X shortly re-identified herself as Kix and resumed working in the engineering sector with a new found look installed.

What do you like about this character?:

As with KI X, Kix is always quite curious of the people around her. She can be quite direct and reacts swiftly to situations presented to her.

What do you dislike about this character?:

With the 'directness' Kix can sometimes ask quite a few questions embarrassing the person they are targeted at and dig into information that she should not delve.

What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?:

Kix has seen a lot of change in her development and with it gained a lot of knowledge in her field. She is a fit leader and can react in accordance with her department efficiently to presented situations and problems. With a logical outlook Kix would be a great asset to the command team.

How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I would say 7/10 because sometimes my own emotions can cross into my character and they can say things that they would not say and do things they would not do. I am getting better at resisting this urge and I think I have become a better roleplayer during my stay at Aurora.

Extra notes: I am mainly applying for Chief Engineer as engineering is my favourite department. Also this is a retype as my first application was lost due to my browser deciding to crash on me.

Solid RPer who's character KIX is really a joy to interact and roleplay with. It's true we need more CE's, but I'd ask that you try and learn more of the advanced engineering/atmos stuff first. Beyond that, I don't see an issue with you in the CE role, you'd be a joy to RP with.
