Xelnagahunter
The point about the OOC aspects of the whitelist are to see what you think of a whitelisted player, not their individual characters. As a person holding a whitelist for head of staff, what do you think your out of character tone should be? What about when confronted with someone who doesn't know how to play? Maybe a person who hasn't learned a simple mechanic? What about involving OOC conflicts regarding your characters? What sort of actions and responsibilities do you think players who obtain a whitelist should be held to? Essentially this is the team discerning how you will react to our community with this grant of extra IC power. Or at least that's my take on it. I'm not one of the major deciding factors, and I'm frankly surprised that I managed to get a whitelist myself. Just to be sure it's clear, my answer is not official on the topic. Link to comment

I_speak_money
It just really doesn't make any sense that one of the Heads on the station, who are responsible in keeping their people in check, is anti-Nanotrasen. It would be like asking the neighbor that hates you so much to please watch your dog over the weekend. I don't know about you, but I would not trust that neighbor one bit to watch my dog. Now, instead of dogs, imagine having him watch the workhorse that is essentially the basis of the station: the scientists. Maybe you don't like your dog and want your neighbor to possibly do something to him/her. But the thing that makes you money? Not a chance. Link to comment

Xelnagahunter
I will admit to skimming your application and bypassing the back story. Now that I've read it I'm conflicted. I understand your points, but you also have to look at how corperations now work compared to the laws of the in-game universe. People are HEAVILY screened, and in a world where media is already important I can only imagine how much more it effect it will have in the future. Those rallies would be caught on camera and NT officials would scour it. your character would surely be found at some point, automatically removing NT's interest in making him a Head of Staff. Loyalty implants are only for IAA, HoS, and Captain roles. I'm not saying that makes it a solid no, but it's something to think about. Final point here, even after understanding my last post, you didn't seem to find any OOC implications, which is something we are surely worried about, or at least I am. (Not that I make the decisions so don't let that discourage you.) Link to comment
Guest Menown
2) Loyalty Implants exist in this universe, your inward opinion has little relevance when your disposition and loyalty can be permanently controlled with an implant. This is good sci-fi horror, to be forced to work for and help the progress of an organization that you hate. Â Unless you're a criminal, Loyalty Implants are consensual. Nobody is being 'forced' unless they've committed some act to garner that, and I believe even then that's just so they stop fucking around until the RoB can take custody, then the implant is removed and such. Xelnagahunter
Since traitor isn't cannon the reasons for being a traitor are justified as anything you want them to be in that round, even if you want to call it a slip up in background screening. Everyday interactions should be believable and I just can't believe that NT would allow a person with that reputation in as a head of staff. Regular crew, maybe, but no one important. Link to comment

Xelnagahunter
Note that my opinions on the matter are expressly that. In fact, I'm not sure why I'm being overly vocal in the case of a backstory that really doesn't mater since I'd not know it ICly. For the sake of simplicity, I'm done replying after this. I'd like to make one final notice that the OOC questions were still not answered with more than a sentence saying "all of this is IC not OOC" and then go about my merry way. I wish you luck and hope you'll do well if accepted. Link to comment
