GhostInSpace Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 BYOND Key: GhostInSpace Player Byond Key: Contextual Staff involved: None. Reason for complaint: Don't be a dick? Approximate Date/Time: 09/11/15, 8:09 PM Three things: 1. Your complaint is with my character, not with me as a player. I was RPing fully with everyone who my Cultist was interacting with. 2. You clearly know my Byond key. I could have clarified this situation for you, and more, if you had taken the time to contact me out of game or address me OOC before posting a public complaint. 3. Using my character's IC actions to bring up YOUR frustration with an event round and the actions of those involved in the event round is really uncool.

Contextual Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 1. Your character's actions were the issue, not the nature of your character. If your character were unbelievable, then I would have made a character complaint about him. Additionally, I never said that you were not RPing with those who you interacted with. 2. I am perfectly willing to consult with people face to face, but I decided that it was not an endeavor worth pursuing due to the attitude expressed in your own statement, which I screencapped and attached to my complaint. 3. The complaint was not in regards to the event, nor my frustrations with it. My complaint was with the actions of those who were... not actually involved in the event, as far as I could tell. The existence of any cult antagonists was unknown to me, and was such a non sequitur to the rest of the round that I readily dismissed it as a fabrication at the time. I am not going to argue with you about this, it was a misunderstanding and I already called for my complaint against you to be closed and disregarded upon clarification.

GhostInSpace Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Okay. I already get a lot of OOC flak for such things as "self-antagging" and similar topics, so in a situation where I in fact was not self-antagging, I suppose your accusation got me a little defensive. If Stahl is holding you at gunpoint, ordering you to put on cable ties, and talking about how he's a vessel for the Dark Gods, he's probably a Cultist that round, not self-antagging. Just FYI.

GhostInSpace Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 i figure a nigga would actually know that if the round type was cult  It was extended, as per event.  Lots of things can happen in an event round. Extended doesn't always mean 'no antags'. You could be told it's a Colony event and then suddenly you're being attacked by ghostly shadows. Admins (and, in general, most storytellers) will typically withhold information about their plots in order to avoid spoiling them. You have to be prepared for anything. Suffice to say, when I had my Cultist transmit a psychic message that contained his known word of power, my character received some interesting information and I had intended to work with it IC. I will only have Stahl, or any of my characters, act like a Cultist if they have that little Cthulhu Cult symbol floating by their heads. Therefore if you witness Stahl acting like a bloodthirsty religious fanatic, it is because he is part of the Cult. Not because I simply wanted to have him act like a cultist for no reason.

Baka Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I like to say that perhaps the admin who was hosting the event should had checked to see if Ghost was actually at the fucking event before even culting him if that was part of the event, because it seems like sheer laziness on whoever's account to cult someone for no reason whatsoever.

GhostInSpace Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Even as an antag you don't just go up to them and shoot them without leadup. Â I didn't, actually. See my first post: Â I was RPing fully with everyone who my Cultist was interacting with.

GhostInSpace Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Ah well. I heard a lot of complaints about that event afterwards. I went into that round intending only to mine some minerals and build a space fort and I ended up taking a guy prisoner on the mining outpost, almost killing a dude with an e-carbine, and putting five or six shots into another guy's face and destroying his head with a fire axe in service to Nar'Sie while wearing the Captain's armor. So it's all good.

Tenenza Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Issue settled, locking and archiving. Also, for the record, it was my event, and yes, it kinda went south, deepest apologies.
