Guest Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Reporting Personnel: Gaal Tup'Aronas Rank of Reporting Personnel: Security Officer Personnel Involved: Security Officer Aelios Tup'Aronas (Brother, witness, may/may not present a somewhat biased account), Head of Security Zubari Akenzua (Minor witness), Captain Elena Raschnikova (Major witness, head of staff that I initially reported to), Mark Syion (target of complaint), Warden Jim Calhoun (major witness) Time of Incident: From the start of the shift to the end, the shift lasted 2 hours before a transfer was scheduled. Real time: 1500GMT 19-DEC-2457 Location of Incident: Brig, Escape, etc. Nature of Incident: [x]Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [x]Neglect of Duty [x]Harassment [x]Assault [x]Misconduct []Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: General synopsis from beginning to end. First part of the shift, everyone reports in to the first rotationary head of security whose name escapes me, with Mark Syion adding 'Pimp master', unprofessionally, as their rank. Second part of the shift, Syion eggs on the participants in the security commsfeed, and then is asked about being out of uniform. Syion is eventually ordered to cease and desist with the belligerence by the captain, and then finally complies by putting on a officer jumpsuit. Uses an unacceptably unprofessional tone with the captain, who avoided being curt and was respectful in her requests. Mid-way into the shift, Syion's security records are brought up. I, and Aelios, made note of the fact that his records were strewn poorly with snippets such as "Access denied: Security Access S++ required", despite that not being part of standard regulation for record declassification, as well as mentions to ex-military forces. He proceeded to snap with arrogant attacks such as 'You don't understand what I've been through' and other angsty-related phrases. Fourth instance, in my attempt to detain a troublemaker in escape and call for my fellow officer to assist me in handcuffing said troublemaker, they waltzed up and peppersprayed both myself and my pod-brother for detaining him earlier on charges of excessive force. I escalated the use of force on them, perhaps a bit too far, in an effort to detain Syion in escape, due to the fact their blatant neglect allowed another crew member to evade being admitted into security custody for several minutes.. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: To the aforementioned captain, yes, Elena Raschnikova. I would like to mention that demotion was never threatened despite Syion's clear abuse of their position on the station for giggles. Additional notes: None, other than that his security records made mention of Richard Syion, though I do not recall the context of it.
