I thought it was fun. Greg's apparently good at displaying his neutrality enough that he got to follow the pirates around and treat them and their hostages. It was fun to see up close just how poorly sec was handling things.

I like to think the pirates made Greg a part of their crew in the end, also I agree with you when you say sec did not do a good job. We had hostages and all we really wanted was the vault's creds, silver, gold, and rum.

Greg wouldn't join their crew. He work(s) for the Intrastellar Aid Corps, and gives medical aid regardless of who you are. He gave Melody a suicide pill and was going to use the fake 'mercury poisoning' story.

But if they didn't kill him or kidnap him, he'd just disembark and return to work.

I joined late, and immediately got into a gunfight with some schmuck pirate. My security forces were all wusses, and everyone was screaming diplomacy.

I was stating common sense, and the fact that pirates are, as a rule of thumb, assholes. They're just gonna take the hostages anyway, why not just kill them all now? We've got them outnumbered with the ERT incoming.
