Why do you wish to play this specific race:

I want to play the Vaurca because the idea of an insectoid race fascinates me, especially a hivemind. I totally once tried to make a hivemind species on another server but it didn't really work out They have very interesting technology and I must say, the most interesting culture I've seen in an SS13 race yet. I want to get my hands on this.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:

Well, they have a unique way of doing most things, depending from Type A to type B, Bound to Unbound, and they also have a very unique way of speaking. Unlike some races, like the good old Skrell and Humans, they are not looked highly upon in most circles, and they also have a highly unique biology.

Character Name:

Za'Akaix'Kzer Zo'ra

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

A type BA Vaurca, Kzer is incredibly fond of the outside galactic community. Ever-wanting to see the world as an Unbound, their request was finally granted. Leaving Sedantis for the first time, they were nervous. Apprehensive. Is this what the Bound had to deal with? Nonetheless, they found themselves board and bed in Tau Ceti.

Shortly after arriving, a few months, they found themselves work. Putting their heavily augmented, nine foot body to good use, they found themselves in a position of cargo. This is all they knew from that point, moving crates, moving presents and gifts, and chipping away long hours at asteroid rock. But they did not complain. A few months later when offered to enter back to their Virtual Reality paradise, they declined. They found their calling.

What do you like about this character?

Well I've played this character on some Aurora forks, and I really like how they turned out. It's really unlike anything I've ever done before.

How would you rate your role-playing ability?

A solid 8/10. Two points reducted for me occasionally making terrible judgment calls and getting myself killed.

I haven't played a lot on the main Aurora server, but I'm sure my name is well known among other HRP servers as ~reliable~

Could we have any examples of characters that you play frequently on the server? I don't really recognize you. Just one or two so people at least figure out who this application is for.

For real I haven't actually played more than like three rounds on Aurora (as compared to months of playtime on other servers).

Oh, I get it, you were playing other characters on other servers. Misunderstanding on my part. But I would recommend definitely getting more play time on Aurora so people can recognize some of your characters to see if they like your roleplay. Your application looks fine but I would need to see some of your characters in action before I give it a rating.
