Icuris Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 (edited) It's been a while and I've tried to add some layers to Clement Beach as a character. Largely by incorporating a more direct approach when handling certain situations and when delegating labour within Security. Personality wise I've made his discriminatory behaviour with IPCs more apperent as Unity and the IPC Ark progress. I'm interested in how people are precieving these changes and if there are any concerns that could be discussed. Edited December 26, 2016 by Guest Quote

Dreviore Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I'm stuck waiting for the Dentist to open so let's see. Opinions on Clement Beach? Something good? Something that needs work? Clement Beach seems to be the type of HoS that the server needs. Attempts to do right by everyone on the station, only thing holding them back in their subordinates. Take for example I was AI on a round where the only member of security doing their job was the detective, and the captain. I witnessed the cult kidnap the RD, so I report it to security. No one even bothers to do anything until the RD starts shouting for help. And the first person to help? The captain, then the detective. Followed by constant threats from the captain, and the IAA calling your entire department for an audit because of poor performance. I haven't had much experience with Beach, but from what I have the character seems fairly solid, and doesn't struggle with maintaining one persona. Quote
Icuris Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 Thank you for the feedback. That round was unfortunate, not only from that perspective but I had to go SSD and eventually leave without saying anything due to some IRL issues. However, I do think it important to learn from those things. If my greatest weakness is my underlings then; for me that means two things. 1. I'm doing something right 2. Time to step it up a knotch when dealing with my sec team. Incident reports for everyone! Quote

Icuris Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 Kill em' with kindness is what I always say Hell, half my appeal; I think, is that I'm not overbearing or overly involved. With that in mind pushing for a stronger team will be a group effort so I hope to utalize extended rounds and the staff team in that regard. Quote
Redfield5 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 He's been cool with Jim, for the most part. Quote
Guest Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 A good, well-played antithesis to many head of securities I've seen. I personally play a mix of hot/cold depending on the situation, that's mostly just the character, though. I like the idea of a "cool" head of staff as it can rightly deal with folk with hotter heads than the former party, and it's good that you play it well enough and do your best in guiding the team in presenting a good example. Nanako Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Today, Commander Beach suffered the worst case of general infections i've ever seen. I suspect someone did surgery on his head without washing their hands. He had a brain infection of level Acute++:= and in a ton of other places too. A body temperature of over 71 Celsius which shot back up in under a minute of leaving cryo. It was insane Throughout it all he was a model patient as this clueless intern tried her best to figure it out. Great guy <3 Quote
Dreviore Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Let me add to this, I just finished a round as IAA with Clement Beach, and due to the happenings of the server on this particular shift I couldn't run my soon to be monthly audit on the department with Clement Beach being the HoS. But honestly, Clement Beach seemed to understand that the Internal Affairs Agent isn't there simply to be annoying, but to ensure everyones asses are covered. They communicated with me in a timely manner, and displayed themselves as a commander should (Minus the whole bullet to the head thing, but hey, you didn't have much control over that) with a strong grasp over your department. I don't really have anything bad to say about my interactions with you as IAA. Quote
Icuris Posted December 26, 2016 Author Posted December 26, 2016 Suppose I just bump this instead of making a new thread? Quote
