Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question

Why do you wish to play this specific race: I like the idea of roleplaying a 'fusion' of multiple entities in one-body, working together to accomplish their goals, even knowing that won't come up much except in speech, death, and maybe medical care. I also like the Dionaea lore, how they're super-peaceful to the point of not having any claims in the Galaxy, and yet one cluster of them was so hyper-aggressive that they're considered a mild threat. I like that they have a presence everywhere, but it doesn't feel like it on the server.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: You speak differently, for one. Not to mention the mass difference in Anatomy between forms. The Nymphs have organs, but they're in different places for each entity. The Workers have a more streamlined organ system due to emulating humanoid races. They are known to be able to live in areas with no Atmosphere. On that note, they aren't just one Diona, they're a merging of multiple Nymphs to form a Dionae. With each Nymph in the fusion being dedicated to a specific task of the body. My character, here, I will incorporate the whole 'Being afraid/fearful of Synthetics' thing into, since he's from the shell that's oversaw by the Skrell. I think the most important part about this is to demonstrate that I know how to type as them, too. They tend to speak in turns, splitting parts of a sentence between each Nymph. Examples of speech as one: "We, are unsure, what to think, about this." or when severely injured in one limb. "One, of us, is dying."

Character Name: The Warmth of a Candle Light

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

This group of Nymphs were among those of the system Epsilon Ursae Minoris. They eventually merged to form a Dionae. That would later assume the name 'The Warmth of a Candle Light". as most from this system, They were integrated into Skrell Society without fault, having been given Skrell genetic samples. They grew to view Synthetics as dangerous, and attempted to be as efficient as possible in all tasks they needed to complete. The thing that was different, however. Is that they chose not to be Engineers like most of the other Dionae from Epsilon Ursae Minoris. They wanted to learn about the other races, and to understand them. It was with this purpose that they started a long and arduous path of the Psychologist and began seeking employment with the Corporate Giant of Tau Ceti, Nanotrasen. While they may be unable to find employment as a Psychologist, (Right away) they might manage to find job openings on the N.S.S. Exodus as both a Counsellor and a Librarian. Furthermore-- their recent studies into what makes people how they are, has made them begin to doubt their own thoughts... and only time would tell how that will turn out.

What do you like about this character?: I like that they're peaceful, as peaceful as most Dionaea are. I also like that they're attempting to learn more about other races, cultures, and why people act the way they do. They won't judge, They'll observe, and through observing, understand. Or be completely clueless because people sometimes don't make sense (Especially on this game.) and they won't accept that.

How would you rate your role-playing ability?: I think I have a good mindset, to have fun and roleplay and not worry about 'winning' the round. My biggest issue with my roleplay is I don't emote enough, I usually only stare and talk and never really use body-language/emotes except in rare cases. I'm not going to rate myself with a number, because that would make me feel egotistical.

Notes: If nobody likes my character, I can design a new one, but I did put a lot of work into this one. The idea for the character is to start them as a Librarian/Counsellor/Nursing Intern and eventually reach Psychologist by progression, it should be pretty hard. Oh, and finally... Be honest and thorough on your input/criticisms with me, please. Otherwise i'll be denied/approved without improving for future applications.

While I like the concept of a shrink Dionae, I feel that the story in general is rather lackluster.

However that won't count against you - post a link to your application in OOC, once per round, to get feedback from other players.

I'm glad you like the concept at least, i'll see if I can add some details to flesh it out or re-write it and see if you like it any better come judgement day. Thank you for being honest. Also, hello.

Personally i like less detail, characters who have an entire life story including how they heroically did X or how they felt about Y, just feel really wierd. a smaller backstory means more flexibility to adapt to situations, i'd say. And its pretty hard to write one for a vaurca or diona anyway, who already come with their own major restrictions and conventions

Penny is probably my favourite character on aurora. We first met when she locked me in the mining outpost for my own safety, as the AI went crazy above (sadly, my two companions insisted on trying to escape and play hero, and i died in that attempt)

Since then, we've been through a lot together. The pair of us ran medbay without assistance countless times. She's the droid i'm always happiest to see

Regardless of the detail in the character backstory, or lack thereof, i'm confident Chada can do it justice, and even if i do think Psych slots are kind of a waste of people, i'd be happy to see it develop
