Guest Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 This is one major issue I have with reading the forums. Quote pyramiding becomes difficult to really read because there's no differentiating background or formatting to show who is quoting up and it requires a lot of scrolling to link comments with their post author. Fix pls.
Guest Complete Garbage Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Just use -snip- and encourage others to as well. If I'm quoting a pyramid, I'll just -snip- it, and maybe leave in the thing I'm directly answering to.
Mofo1995 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 To be completely frank, I find the new forums very difficult to read on account of the excessive use of white space. From a graphic design aspect the new forums are sleek and easy on the eyes, but from a practicality stand point I find reading through threads to be rather headache-inducing, specifically in the context quote pyramids. I would like a return of our old background for quotes, as it made some RP-based posts look much nicer.
SierraKomodo Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 If Skull permits it, I can poke through the CSS rules and see about possibly darkening the backgrounds on quotes.
Feorn Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I also can't seem to figure out where the unread post indicator is when I open a thread. On the old forums (and most forums I browse) there's a little folder icon or something that'll be a bright colour if I haven't read the post and greyed out if I have.

Left column when browsing a forum/subforum, the post/globe/pin/etc icons have a red background if there's new unread posts in that thread. Clicking that icon takes you to the first unread post.
