Crew Safety Survey, NSS Exodus

Aboard any installation, safety of personnel is one of the paramount concerns of the institution. The purpose of this anonymous survey is to gauge how safe crew members feel aboard the station, judging by their responses to various questions in the survey.

What is your occupation? Cargo Technician and Shaft Miner

On a scale of one to ten, with one being unsafe and ten being safe, how safe do you feel aboard the NSS Exodus? 4

Have you been the victim of any sort of crime during a working shift? Several things have been stolen from cargo while he worked there.

Have you been the victim of a violent crime during a working shift? He has been threatened several times for denying orders.

Have you been the victim of harassment or hazing during a working shift? Yes

Have you been the victim of sexual harassment and/or sexual assault during a working shift? Yes

Have you been the victim of a possible hate crime during a working shift? Yes

On a scale of one to ten, with one being not concerned and ten being greatly concerned, how concerned are you on the subject of external threats to public safety? 2

Do you feel that the presence of a hostile clandestine operative infiltrating the crew is a real possibility? No

Have you been arrested and/or detained by Security? Once

If you were ever detained or arrested by Security, do you feel that they committed an unjust act against you? Yes

Are you concerned about the mental health of yourself or your colleagues? Yes

On a scale of one to ten, with one being not concerned and ten being greatly concerned, how concerned are you about drug abuse aboard the station? 0

On a scale of one to ten, with one being extremely ineffective and ten being extremely effective, how effective are the emergency services during an emergency (Security, Medical, and Engineering)? Engineering is a nine, medical is 9.5, and security is a 3.

Are there any other issues that you would wish to highlight? He feels like the biggest threat to the station is corrupt station security, moreso than the threats they're supposed to protect again.

On a scale of one to ten, with one being extremely ineffective and ten being extremely effective, how effective are the emergency services during an emergency (Security, Medical, and Engineering)?

Security: 7 - They are certainly effective in disarming situations effectively, despite being rather aggressive and occasionally causing minor collateral the role they provide is especially important as first responders, and do so very effectively.

Medical: 5 - They are often unprofessional, sometimes wearing equipment entirely inappropriate for conduct. I have seen, on multiple occasions Medical staff not wearing headdresses while in dangerous Surgeries.

Engineering:9 - They do what they are supposed to do, are non-intrusive and are a valuable asset to the Company.

Are there any other issues that you would wish to highlight?

A minor complaint, wearing inappropriate clothing items, while in the role of Emergency Personnel is an issue that has left me rather concerned. For example, certain employees topless except for a bra, or topless entirely.
