Eastern Culture

What influence has Middle Eastern, and Asian culture, specifically Chinese and Indian had on Humans, and to an extent the Sol Alliance and Biesel?

Actually, the lore DOES cover that. In the early centuries of space travel, most colonies were based on ethics/culture. Which means you have colonies out there with a population comprised of Eastern people, African people etc.

One good example of this would be Mars. Here is a copy-paste section of the Mars' lore regarding it's Ethic make-up;

As you can see, some cultural differences might still exist in the future, BUT unlike present days, they are likely more keen to prioritize the Collective's will over their own Cultural aspects. Which means Humanity has reached a true Multicultural society.

I hope this answers most of your questions, since I'm not exactly a Lore dev. Perhaps one will elaborate on this in the future. Cheers!

It has as much influence as you want it to have in areas that the lore hasn't gone in depth for! Governments on earth as we know them today no longer exist, with the boundaries of modern-day (2458) Earth having been rewritten before the early days of colonization.

Of course I'm a westerner and most of my staff is western, so that's what we focus on because I'd rather we write what we know than to devolve into a generic "mystical east" scenario. I tend to just use a random name generator with all the nationality names toggled on.

The Sol Alliance is a mess and a mish-mash of everything Earth just threw around halphazardly when they were first colonizing. If you want a planet themed around eastern government and cultures then there's nothing stopping you there.

What Jackboot said. Although I always kept to what's practical and logical when writing cultures. It doesn't makes sense to have a feudal world on a barren moon or segnificant mutant population of humans. Such a world would be barely sustanable and it takes far longer than 450 years for humans to develop new viable genetic mutations even with hocus pocus such as alien tech and radidation. It's simply good writing practice to adhire to what's reasonable.

As for influence itself, it's likely that both of them would extert a lot on the future cultures. Sol Common is a mish-mash of Mandarin and English for example. However, due to our playerbase mostly being from western cultures, everyone acts like Biesel and Sol are space Euromerica so it never really comes out during RP. I would feel some cultural variety would be welcome on Aurora, since it would reflect the real state of future society much better.
