Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question

Why do you wish to play this specific race: I wish to play a IPC because it would be a break from tajara. What I mean about this is, I will be able to try more lore and be a little more involved inside the antag contest. I also enjoyed looking at the different IPC personalities in the security and science departments, I think you can make them in a way you want as long as it sticks inside the lore and rules.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: how IPCs are different than humans is they can have a shard of a personality or have a few different quarks inside its personality due to how the positronic brain works and functions. Mostly N.T likes to hire the kind personalities and the ones that do the job.

Character Name: Solona

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

The screen flickers and a camera opens, a tajaran with a lab coat is the first thing it sees inside a white room, it sees its creator. They take of their ID and hold it up for the camera, showing the name of its creator. In a staticy voice, it beeps and reads the ID, “Hello creator Kalla-Ka'risco Cama.”

The tajaran smiles wide at this remark and gives a wave, before plugging in a cable to a closed database that has the history of all the races, the color wheel, math, basic description of a list of jobs that N.T hires, etc. The screen flickers and changes to different images as the positronic brain begins to scan through the data. The tajaran nods and says, “I will let you make your own decision on what you want to do and how you think of the species historical history, culture, and values.”

The days and weeks moved on, the tajaran coming into the lab and working on something out of the camera view, all the head of the IPC can see is sparks from when the tajaran welds, showing curiosity on what their creator is making, showing interest into the information they gave them to scan, often drawing out long conversations before being left for the day.

The tajaran one day asks a difficult question to the emerging IPC, “What do you want your name to be?” They place a hand on the shutdown switch to make sure they don't burn the brain out while trying to think. A few errors and beeps come as the neural pathways rework to fix errors from this heavy thinking and finally state, “My name… can it be Solona?” all it sees is the tajaran going off screen and rolling a purple IPC chassis over, showing the newly named IPC their body, “what profession do you wish to go in?” The IPC errors and shuts down, giving a few beeps as the last thing it sees in the worried face of their creator.

The screen eventually flickers a blue again and a voice comes out, directed to the tajaran, “can I.. Be a scientist?” making its creator sigh out in relief and plug a cable in, letting them scan the knowledge, their creator sending a signed contract to N.T, letting them loan the IPC to work as it will go into a personality evaluation, finally unplugging the data cable and letting them keep the knowledge of the scientific theory, picking up the head, they attach it to the chassis, letting the newly made IPC to adjust their servos.

What do you like about this character? I like that they are a little build up of one of my other characters, she ICly talked about developing a IPC and asked the other IPCs for what they should do with the positronic brain.

How would you rate your role-playing ability? 7/10 trying to improve.

Hello hello!

I will be the one evaluating your application.

Personally, I'm... currently very reluctant. Your understanding of IPCs seem minimal, and on top of that your backstory is rather vague yet somehow still too specific. That, and I really don't know how much I like this character being created by another one of your character.

But that aside - seriously, the backstory says nothing. It says it was created, and that it was given freedom (somehow) by it's creator (and that's despite all the legal hurdles in doing so), and chose it's name and occupation. No testing to make sure it was viable, and beyond indecisive, not even a hint of what personality it has.

So yes. I will be back on the 20th to pass judgement. Until then, please try to build upon the application - and don't forget to post, once per round, a link to this application in the game's OOC channel to advertise and get opinions.
