If other, replace line and specify.)Overview of the Incident: The incident began with a standard carp hunt. The interim HOS, Rifler, handed me a laser rifle to dispatch the carp, which I did efficiently and effectively (without missing a single shot, might I add). However, when handing it back to her, there was a misfire and I shot her accidentally. I immediately dropped the rifle and rushed to get her medical treatment. She suffered no serious injury, only minor burn damage which I treated and took her to medbay for. Instead of taking any valid form of punishing me, Rifler decided to issue a beating with a telescopic baton, which damaged my heart tissue and sent me into medbay. I believe she threatened further beating as well. I am still in pain from said event, and the doctor said my condition will worsen until I undergo surgery. Noone but me and her were there, but we were under camera surveillance, something which should back up my claim. This is unacceptable behavior from a would be HOS. Afterwards, she completely refused to apologize or accept that her actions were wrong, which led me to write this report. After the captain spoke to her, she rushed to the shuttle medbay, accused me of lying, then took me out of the cryo pod the doctor had put me in. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: Yes, I reported it to the captain Raymond Hawkins. However, the transfer shuttle was about to dock with the station, so he instructed me to file a report to a CCIA post shift while he talked with the HOS.Actions taken: As stated before, I contacted the captain, who then talked with the HOS and told me to contact a CCIA post-shift. Additional notes: The offender, Rifler, had been made an interim HOS by the captain as a measure to test her abilities. I would like to add she is completely unqualified for HoS, or even anything above a cadet, if she not only acts like this, but then proceeds to refuse to admit fault. Link to comment
