Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question

Why do you wish to play this specific race: First off, they're colorful, which is always a delight. Second off, they can play my post active role, Captain. That, and I also kind of enjoy their history, and their overwhelming scientific focus, as well as the dynamic that they hold with humanity in general, the whole 'little sibling' concept. Humans are smart, and they do mimic a younger Skrellian society, albeit with a much more economic and violent tendency. Compared to the Skrell, they're less 'enlightened' as far as their society and the manner that they approach the universe goes, and I think that really drives some Skrell to want to guide humanity, and bring them to the level of near-utopian society that the Skrell are enjoying in the Federation.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Well, they're a bit more patronizing, much more advanced, and have much different attitudes about the universe than humanity. One wants to turn a profit, and one wants to thoroughly learn as much as possible about it. They also have a richer history, filled with enlightenment and disdain over the spread of AI, as well as a much better sense of unity in their culture.

Character Name: Wren'Ishii Qual-tep

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Wren'Ishii was born on an outlying, rather disconnected colony called Qual'tinne in 2343. It had been a prominent spaceport many thousands of years before, and had recently become re-established in the capabilities of producing it's own space vessels. Her family was heavily involved in the budding space program, commonly travelling between the first fully functional orbital port, and their homestead. This, of course, sparked her interest in space almost immediately, and thus her education was geared toward space and space exploration. Around the time she was sixty, the colony re-established full communications with the Federation, and was eagerly absorbed back into the mix, it's spaceport and the technology left behind being put to great use.

Not too long after, word spread like wildifre through the Federation that another species has been contacted--they called themselves Humans. She was aboard a cartography vessel at the time, rebuilding maps of the outer regions of the Federation. The Captain of the vessel took it straight toward Human space at first opportunity, joining a Skrellian taskforce that was enroute to meet with a Sol Expeditionary Fleet group of ships. Wren'Ishii wasn't part of the initial contacts, but did have her opportunity to meet a Human not too long later, when the two workforces began becoming intertwined. She set her mind on the program immediately, bouncing around the hive of human megacorporations in a pure daze at the awe of the other society, almost thinking of the society as a 'little brother', almost like comparing the industrial revolution to the 21st century. After finding her place at the company NanoTrasen, she coasted along the corporate hierarchy, her deep space experience and education being put to work on various research stations and vessels. She was ultimately offered her own command of the NSS Aurora, and the rest is history.

What do you like about this character?

She has a simultaneous awe and protectiveness about humanity, which I think can really create an interesting dynamic when she interacts with humans under her. She has the whole little sibling ideal, and she genuinely wants to impart a positive message on humanity with some of the more altruistic values of the Skrell, because she thinks that they do have the potential to reach a point where they have just as high a quality of life as the Skrell do, and such a strong scientific base, pulled away from the needs for greed and violence.

These are well known names when it comes to the Captain, HoP, and ISD positions. Sdtwbaj did his research on the Skrell, he's been here for ages, he's a more-than-competent RPer, and it'd be nice to see more aliens onboard. There's no reason to -1 this, and every reason to +1 it.

There's a good bit of feedback here, and there's quite a bit to read in the app.

I appreciate the compliment, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that Skrell history is "richer" than human history. No matter what I, previous, or future writers might add... human history in real life is comes across as "stranger than fiction" to me. It's dense, it's zany, and it really happened.

Good name. Doesn't abuse the apostrophe key. Doesn't throw shit-tons'OFADD-ons'on'Top Of'Each-Other. Don't start doing that. I'd be sad.

Hold on there, Eager McBeaver. It's 2459/2460/#currentyear. "Many thousands of years" ago, the Skrell weren't in space. TBH, the whole "thousands of years ago" thing seems like a typo or a bad call. I /like/ to think that you actually looked at dates or at least got a rough estimation of years/centuries in the history of Skrell. I'm not gonna come out and /say/ that this one little detail calls into question whether you read any of the lore at all. I'm just gonna suggest that this is a typo and ask that you refresh your understanding of a few things. No biggie, I'm sure I've left some jarring typos as well. Maybe "hundreds" rather than thousands.

I'm not gonna lie. I really like the bio here. I could go on. But I'll spare you for now. Maybe later, eh?
