Character Death?

if your character dies during an antag round, i'm guessing that isn't cannon. but are there any effects which follow through from antag rounds? intense nightmares? for example, or is it simply up to the player to decide how much is remembered from antag rounds, or is all of it meant to be forgotten?

Long as you arent gaining any meta information of antags or things related to antags. You can just muddle the details. So a nuclear operative blowing your hand off could turn into a work accident chopping your hand off. Even if your character dies during an extended round you dont have to lose your character. You can just pretend a medical professional got there "just in time" or you did actually get cloned even if you didn't.
