Character Set-up: Randomization

Making a new character or hitting the randomize button only randomizes your character's appearance. It would be far superior if it also generated a full, brief character with the basic information filled in. So randomizing a human would give you....

Generated Citizenship and Home System

Home System:

Sol, Tau Ceti, New Ankara, Epsilon Eridani.

Citizenship:

Sol Alliance, Republic of Biesel, Republic of Elyra, Eridani Federation.

These do not need to be linked, since people can emigrate.

A brief auto-generated employment record.

[name] was born in [Home System]. They graduated [top of their class/high marks/average grades/with struggling grades] from [university]. They have [no/x] years of prior work experience in [security/Engineering/etc]. [Additional flavor text about volunteer work or 'was once in the boy/girl scouts'"

When randomized the player would receive a pop-up prompt telling them that they have an employment record generated and to check it before they spawn and change it if they don't like the results. If they ignore all that and spawn as an engineer despite their generated records saying they are a chef then it can be handled IC'ly. I am a HoP main and already get these mix ups literally all the time so it would not really be THAT egregious.

Aliens do not really have a diverse set of options so their 'randomization' would just give them the same options.

If lore provides a massive list of possible variables to shove in this, it probably wouldn't be hard to do.

Might me a good chance to make a standardized template too cough cough hint hint.

This is clearly a joke suggestion made to spam the system while mole men are pushed through. It seems the only humane thing to do is ignore this thread and comment more on the addition of mole men.

Because Hackboot thrives off of feedback, I have to give him some.

This idea has absolutely no consideration for other species, apparently. It bypasses the whole character creation process (which seems to be different between each player). Not to mention, it opens the door for even more cookie-cutter characters. If I want to play a stuttering nurse or a mute with a heart of gold, I'll do it on my own accord, thank you very much.

JB, your idea is bad and lazy. You should feel bad and lazy.

This is for people who hit "random"/the initial character setup before you change anything. This does not stop people making their own character.

It's obviously a good idea and already have exists as it stands.

Thank you for your insight Loow. Rest assured this suggestion is not a joke. This does also not impact whether or not you can play a specific character. It only adds a few more items that are included in randomization, most notable where it says your citizenship is and your home system.
