Event Type: Relaxation + Roleplay

Event Scale: Big

OOC Event Description: This is the continuation of the yearly, corporate sponsored Christmas Party. No intrigue, no sudden Sol Marines or Krampus showing up. Just a good time and lots of coal for all of you.

Who knows about it: Everyone employed on the SCCV Horizon knows about it. It has/will have been announced on the newscasters and you will also have received an invitation per mail.

Host/participants: KingOfThePing (Host), Ramke (Co-Host) ReadThisNamePlz (Assigned Admin)

Notes:

The Party will NOT take place on the Horizon. You will NOT be able to play normal jobs during this round, everyone attending is off-duty and a guest somewhere else. Real after-work hours once more.
It will not take place on the Idris Cruiser.

You know that you have been invited to a chalet in a ski resort with attached spa and other recreational facilities, but dont know which one exactly at this point in time. It will be cold so pack a coat, maybe.

The party will take place on the 16th of December (Saturday) because we all have better things to do on actual Christmas.

Once again there will be no checkpoints.

It was genuinely one of the best events I've attended (as few as I have) but what I'm sure countless others would consider among the top the server's had. It encouraged roleplay, offered fun activities, and served as an immersive experience with all it's festivities, merriment, and ultimately just plain fun.

This is what event-makers should look to as a textbook example of the quality to strive for in their own planning. The walkways were well designed, the numerous locations with their self-contained atmospheres never wore out their welcome, and any fatigue in a particular area was quickly alleviated by migrating to the next vibe. Loved it. I hope we continue to sprinkle in these social events where we can. They offer the most in terms of meaningful character development and relationship progression the crew could only benefit from.

Huge thanks to all of you who participated in the map for your hard work to see this through. It was a labor of love that shone through in every little detail.

Bravo.

Very fun event, sure crash happened, and the venting incident, but being able to spend hours roleplaying with characters inside a unique map was a blast!

Some highlight images I had included too

I was only in for part of it, but what I saw of the map, was beautiful.

particularly liked the fireplace with the log fuel and rekindling mechanic. Very cozy.

Very good event, good selection of amenities. Some things were missing, like wardrobes for changing underwear for the sauna. And some missing tiles under stairs. But overall it was a lovely map, and a well run event. Staff did a great job on damage control, and keeping things together after the crash.

This and the Halloween party a few months back were great - a real oppertunity to have some roleplay on a personal level and an excuse for characters to really act differently - outside of work. The map was fun to explore, and I think thought was put into it. Many communal areas, but hidden nooks and crannies of all kinds to have a personnel talk. The campfires with logs to sit on were my personnal fav part of the map.

Spoiler

It's the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you be of good cheer
It's the most wonderful time of the year

It's the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It's the hap-happiest season of all

There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When loved ones are near
It's the most wonderful time of the year

There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When loved ones are near
It's the most wonderful time
Yes the most wonderful time
Oh the most wonderful time
Of the year

TL;DR Event good. Wynfride and Kira got to make out. 10/10

Map was missing some essentials, but otherwise it was pretty alright - The event itself, and the rest of the map.

Would you tell us what you missed so we are not forgetting it the next time? Thank you
