That was the plan I was thinking maybe !! or & to denote bold text, it'd work a lot like the radio emote system where you couldn't see the & at the end of a sentence.
-
Theres no need to be childish about this, they did this respectfully and its something I've noticed a lot too, I'm a new player maybe a week old at this point and it really was a struggle playing the first few days on how badly people would treat me and others.

I'll look into it, If I can do it (and it shouldn't be too hard) I'll post a video with it as a feature!

Remove Yell and Shout from exclamation mark speech verbs.

Bold text is a thing, if I programmed in a method for players to use it during character speech would you accept it as a new shouting? -
Make exclamatory sentences boldened in text stated via the say function.

Eh I've seen people arrested for auto dropping one candy wrapper after eating it. Give them a reason and some'll take it -
Hello! I know boiling some characters down to one theme or song is very difficult given the complexity's but if you caaaaan we should post them here! Sunny Daise:

I... I am not even sure how to respond. It is a /jumpsuit/ if they are going to make a rage thread on Reddit because they weren't allowed to run around with their jumpsuit rolled down, then by all means. I will talk with the other members of the CCIA Division but I believe this will stay the same. So you're going to ignore all the other points? Why are you CCIA again?

I disagree, I normally wouldn't do something like this it causes drama, anger and it usually all ends in tears. The only reason I posted in the first place was because of how salty I got over it but the more I look at it the more I think, "This only hurts players". I'll give an example, say its your first day playing on the server a sec officer stops you because you have your uniform rolled down and charges you with neglect of duty, most players would think "Oh that must be a joke" its such a silly rule to enforce and it takes away from a character. But lo' and behold it's not and you get arrested, most new players would ether leave or complain to the admins, if the ones that complain find out that yes it is indeed a law they'd probably leave. Thats just one example but do you see how damaging something like that would be to the servers reputation as a whole if it happened to the wrong person? And that's only one of the problems with this regulation but I feel its one I haven't covered in my previous posts. What do you mean, "If it happened to the wrong person" I highly doubt that forcing someone to roll up their jumpsuit would completely destroy the server's reputation. I feel like you are making this a way bigger issue than it really is. I still am not really convinced with having this changed. People are popular within the community, people listen to them and if it happens to one of them then they'll be a drama megathread on the subreddit. This stuff always happens.

Well, the reason that the Tajara are allowed to have it down, and this is the only reason is that they get overheated. This isn't even an RP thing that they do. They eventually take damage. I believe it may be halloss but I am not sure. I would also like to ask, why this is such a large concern to you? Like, it is two different color underclothing. I will think about having an exception to some civilian roles but anything outside of civilian is completely logical to have to be in a jumpsuit and there is no reason to have it rolled down. I hope you don't mind if I copy and paste from my other post here but: "Yep yep I know that don't worry! The rules with the Taj's are very fair but I feel that they could easily be applied to everyone ya' know It'd help character customization, having to go around rules like that just makes me think "Why are they here in the first place?" people shouldn't be encouraged to break regulations like this its just a bit silly to have one to be honest, if it was like the Taj version I think it'd be completely fair!" I'll add onto that though, I care because it detracts from game play and could be fixed in a matter of seconds.

So the rule is completely redundant and takes away from character customization? Do you see the problem here, the law is there its great but that rule takes away from T-shirts and tank tops and I mean why even have those then, it'd be a cool thing to add onto adding more T-shirts and Tanktops and something I was planning to do along with new hairstyles but there's no point now . The hairstyles are being added yes but I really don't understand why this regulation is even a thing when space law has something against it already! How does this take away from character customization? You still have the same options in your character creation screen. The Corporate Regulations and the regulation that you are talking about, go hand in hand. One was developed off of the other. The only thing that is different about the regulation that you have brought up is that it was made more specific. There is nothing saying that you cannot wear other clothing like whatever you were saying would be cool to add. It says this on the posts on the forums, "All persons aboard any and all NanoTrasen vessels, employed, contracted, visitor, or otherwise, must not roll down their jumpsuits, or must keep their shirts on if their department does not utilize or require jumpsuits." You are still allowed to wear T-Shirts or other types of clothing if jumpsuits are not a required thing. You can only see the T-shirts and vests if you're in a job that starts with a jumpsuit. So it does take away from character customization there is literally no difference between having the Black, White, Tanktop or nothing at all because no-one can see it, if the rule was changed so when the Tajarans have to roll their jumpsuits up was applied to every race then it'd be fine, other wise only Tajarans get the benefits. I'm fine with that sort of thing normally I think all the races should get different benefits but this one is arbitrary and silly. I get that this is a minor thing and all but I honestly think it does detract a little from the game, I understand your points and everything Owen it's the rules and you've had problems with it in the past but I think with some very minor adjustments it could be fixed easily.

It depends really I might add them to every break room style place I've been working on the code a little bit I'd like some suggestions for names and what effects the diffren coffees will have! I'll also have to sprite from scratch every different coffee bean bag, but I love doing stuff like that!
-
This is already a regulation. "i105 Indecent Exposure or Hooliganism. "To be intentionally and publicly unclothed..." "...Skrell are required to be clothed just like anyone else. Tajaran can have rolled down jumpsuits unless ordered by their Head of Staff to keep it up." So the rule is completely redundant and takes away from character customization? Do you see the problem here, the law is there its great but that rule takes away from T-shirts and tank tops and I mean why even have those then, it'd be a cool thing to add onto adding more T-shirts and Tanktops and something I was planning to do along with new hairstyles but there's no point now . Alright then seeing as my points not getting across let me point out every single thing you shouldn't be able to wear for each department but are: Bunny Slippers - Every Department Plaid Skirts - Anything that's not a Bartender or Librarian White Jumpsuits - Botanist Red Jumpsuits - Medical Black Jumpsuits - Medical, Anything that has to go into space Clown and mime Suits - Anything that's not a Bartender Nurse outfit - All jobs All shoes but black and brown shoes - Every job Saloon Girl Outfit - Every Job Bride outfits - Every job Stripper wear - Every job Flippers - Every job Monocle - Every job Sunglasses - All jobs but security All Jumpsuits but the ones you start in - Every job Kilt - Every job but bartender Suits - Anything that's not a Bartender, Librarian or Chaplain or IA Pirate outfit - Anything that's not a Bartender Most of the Dresses - Every job The Owlman costume - Every job All collectable Hats - Every job Any hat thats not related to your job - Every job Literally anything that you didn’t start by default Do you see why the uniform regulations are dumb now, unless you go around arresting literally everyone who’s not wearing just small accessories it’s not realistic, and I think we can all agree that would be terrible. I could of not got lazy near the end there and listed about 50-100 more items I'm not even joking.
-
Its Arbitrarily taking away character customization options for no reason, explain to me from a game play or hell an IC perspective why people can't have jumpsuits rolled down. I've worked plenty of jobs for a multitude of different company they let you wear T-shirts hell they provide them. Its not a problem with how you acted as much as the rule itself, it genuinely makes less than zero sense because it just screws over newer players and restricts what people can do in a RP environment without a good reason to do so.
-
So I'm not a salty person, I'm really not. But seriously this is the single dumbest thing I've ever seen on what five years playing this game, I had a character arrested for 20 minutes for not rolling up a jumpsuit. Why even have the options in the character creation if we're not allowed to use them, I argue we should remove the option or remove the roll down jump suits, its /really/ dumb and just ends up punishing new players when you have bad security officers on.
-
Not really I'm happy to do each kind of coffee bean, have the basic ones start on station and the better ones have to be ordered, Pill based ones just seem kind of arbitrary when this idea works and everyone is familiar with it, like its just complicated and futurey for the futures sake.

ArcBot - Head of Staff Application
Brightdawn replied to ArcBot's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
He started calling my character a bitch and tried to get her arrested because she was too busy at the time to get some ore, thats a terrible indicator for his head of staff behavior -1
