  1. That is hilarious. I would have made endless regulation excuses. I'm quite used to doing that to people who jerk the cargo department around. I know my paperwork and can be a nightmare to people like this. I try not to do it without justification though.
  2. The bar still serves purpose as a casual meeting point for staff to go to eat, drink and chat when there's a lull in the action. Obviously some people use it a little too much, but that can be dealt with ICly be security and IA. The people who spend all their time slacking at the bar will just spend all their time slacking somewhere else. By the same token, a lot of players who both enjoyed getting a drink with their co-workers or playing the bartender role will be cheesed by this. The bar provides a relatively safe, central, location for crew to gather and socialise. It provides food, drink and social lubricant. People living for an extended period out here will likely want to get their drink on. It also serves as a way for NT to make back some of the employee's wages, kind of like the company store in old mining towns. Removing t will just cause people to smuggle booze in anyway, so it helps control that.
  3. I love this suggestion. Though there would be some lore questions that need to be answered. What if slime people were naturally occurring elsewhere in the galaxy at large, not just artificially created in labs? I'll need to double check lore on slimes, but I assume they are wild animals from somewhere. If green slimes existed in the wild, could slime people be a thing already? Another question is whether or not this is it's own race, or a type of altered human. If they're considered a subtype of human, what other semi-humans are there out there?
  4. No you don't. If someone is trespassing, you call security and let them handle it Alright, minor correction, I need to stop what I'm doing, ask them to leave, call security when they don't, let security in when they get they get there, have security escort them out, all while watching them so I can tell security if they've stolen anything so they don't get to walk away with a half dozen widgets or try to order a bunch of contraband on the ordering console. Then I can go back to drawing up the requisition forms, shipping crates out, and making deliveries.
  5. Wether they were an antagonist or not, when someone breaks into the cargo bay, which him and others were constantly doing, I need to stop my work to usher them out. I was dealing with constant break ins from the half-way point on, which slowed actually shipping anything to a crawl. I don't allow big-ticket items to be delivered unless the recipient signs for it, so I had to prepare an NFC-1000 form for it, and other orders to deliver. Had people kept out, he might have received it sooner. Regardless of delays, it does not warrant screaming at me in ooc like a petulant child.
  6. This was a few days ago, I only remember their role which I won't state since I don't want to encourage a witch-hunt. If it ever happens again, then I'm definitely reporting it.
  7. Question: What about the dionaes riding on the cargo tug or Odysseus as a faster way to transport or to get around quickly? I've seen a Medical (CMO?) Dionae using Odysseus as a way to get around the areas during non-emergencies, I've reported this to the staffs twice and they seemed to have 'shrugged' it off and jotted notes down. What then? Report it to you for you to strip their whitelist? I've run into a Diona player screaming at me in OOC after round end because my quartermaster character took too long to get him a cargo tug. He claimed I was deliberately delaying and would report me to the admins next time. While I honestly doubt anything would come of this, the diona players using cargo tugs and Odysseus mechs to effectively powergame around one of their race's weakness, and the sheer sense of entitlement to do this that some are developing is concerning.
  8. BYOND Key: MrSmooooth Staff BYOND Key: Kaedwulf Reason for complaint: Massive grief, by detonating a welder bomb in the central primary hallway of the station. This led to the currently unpowerd station losing all atmosphere, and killing literally everyone on the server with the exception of about 5 people, who had void/hardsuits or a mech. Evidence/logs/etc: Here are the logs from my perspective for that round. He admits his actions in deadchat. Server logs can corroborate around 12:30 AM EDT, 31st of may, 2016 http://pastebin.com/CXSjRd6w Additional remarks: In deadchat, Kaedwulf has stated that he was unaware his actions would cause the depressurization of the entire station. This is how he justifies his actions. This leads to two situations. First: He is unaware of basic game mechanics (Stuff does not work when unpowered), and should not be moderator. I personally refuse to believe someone in a moderator position here can be so grossly negligent. Second: He is lying through his teeth, and had malicious intent when he did this, and should not be moderator. Hanlon's Razor says that it's probably the former, but if so, then this is extreme ignorance from someone who is supposed to have an above-average at least understanding of game mechanics. A player who undertook these actions, or other actions leading to the same result, would have eaten a ban. Hell, I've been bwoinked for far less and eaten job-bans on other servers for far less done in the name of ignorance. Kaedwulf was not playing as an antag this round, and even antags tend to be discouraged from this kind of mass slaughter. This kind of conduct cannot be condoned, from players or staff, deliberate or not.
