He tilts his head to the side a bit, trying to put the name to a face, biting his lip a bit as he ponders. "Hm," he begins, "I don't believe so. Perhaps a glance or two at work, but none that I can think of.." He leans forward in his chair, wheeling it over a bit closer to the screen. You can hear the feedback vibrations as he begins tapping on the holoscreen keyboard in front of him, and while doing so, says, "I work aboard the Aurora," and makes a vague motion to the labcoat behind him. "I'm the Chief Medical Officer, usually." He then glances up at the screen, waiting for the woman's reply. His body suddenly tenses up as he hears the cheery voice emitting from the speakers around him. Blushing a bit, he glances at anywhere but the lens of the camera. "I uh, hiya, Jen. How are...er.." he trails off, lost in thought. Blinking a bit, he manages to fix his eyes on the screen, smiling nervously, "Uh, how are things?" he asks.

I would like to mention that, in the RP-Rev round that just occurred (still don't understand why people vote for this kinda stuff), Jackboot's Captain character, Dolores, did some very bad things. Although I do understand that the job of Heads of Staff is to incite rebellion among the crew, but that's not the same as, "Hey, this person did this. Instead of following the Standard Operating Procedure that has been drilled into my head for years, and the Regulations I've had to follow by the book to get to the position I'm in now, let me just execute them on the bridge with no real RP to it, even though it goes against everything I'm supposed to prevent." Now, let me say this, so Jackboot doesn't automatically assume that, due to previous disputes I've had with him in the past I'm just nitpicking to nitpick. Heads of Staff will make mistakes. I don't care if you've been playing this game since its inception, you will drastically fuck up at one point or another. I don't think this complaint warrants a whitelist removal, but it definitely needs to be here, for posterity sake at least. There's one thing where you make a mistake, and it's easily remedied. It's a completely different thing when your actions completely take another player out of the game, completely tying up your time without getting anywhere with it, and then another one of your inmates dies while on your watch. This situation could have been avoided easily. Anyways, I do believe that, in time, Jackboot will gain more experience as a Head of Staff, and we'll see improvement from him eventually. I do understand that Head of Staff positions are very stressful at times, and we do lead real lives outside of the computer that will interfere with your ability to react. These are 2D spessmens, after all, and not actual human beings.

+Juan Reason: The applicant displays a clear knowledge of what both the IC and OOC duties of a whitelisted character and why a whitelist even exists in the first place. Furthermore, the applicant understands what the duties of a Head of Staff is ingame. Also, the character is very believable and I can't wait to see how she manipulates people as a head of staff. We're severely lacking in manipulative and power-hungry characters. Lastly, after observation and personal interaction with the applicant's character ingame, I can definitely say the applicant can RP very well and gets very descriptive in their emotes. I can't wait to see this character again, hopefully, as a Head of Staff. So, yeah. +1.

+Juan. Reason: The applicant shows a clear understanding of the lore behind the selected race and has integrated it into the displayed character's backstory in a believable manner. Furthermore, the applicant has demonstrated the ability to RP well more than once. Also, the applicant shows a clear and concise view towards the Skrell that I agree with. But, all jokes aside, I give this not only my plus Juan, but also a BADASS! Stamp of Approval™ due to the fact that it'll definitely create some friction between the character-in-question and Skrell members of the Aurora at the moment. More so, I'd really like to see the interaction between Kieria Schalal (Covert's Skrell CMO) and the character-in-question. So, to wrap it up, I'm giving this my +1 for the above reasons.

((I did this back on the old forums, and so here I go, attempting to bring it back. I don't know who started it, but I'm starting it here. /me nods.)) After scrolling down the endless profiles for what seems like an eternity, you finally settle on one profile for some reason. The man in the picture has striking green eyes and deep brown hair that falls in a swoop just above his right eye. He wears this characteristic lazy grin that barely exposes a small dimple on his left cheek. He's wearing a slightly wrinkled black dress shirt and his hair is slightly messed up. Just before you can move onto the next profile, the live feed gives a soft blip and a man appears, the man from the picture. He's swiveling lightly in an office chair in what seems like a normal housing unit. He has that signature grin on his face, and his outfit consists of a rolled down white jumpsuit and a snug-fit black shirt with the sleeves rolled up neatly and covering 3/4ths of his arm. In the background, you can see a light blue labcoat hanging on a coat-rack behind the office chair. The rooms seems to be a little messy, and there are a few almost-empty mugs of coffee lying about the room on various counters and tabletops. There is a full bed with bedsheets sprawled haphazardly on them and the pillows in a disarray. To the left of the bed is a window with the metal blinds tilted slightly. He gives a light wave and politely says, albeit a bit nervously, "Hello random viewer, I'm Senri. Senri Ishikawa. If you're watching this, you should probably leave me an ask." He gives a slight smile, waiting for your reply.

FIGHT ME.

+1. This guy is hilarious, friendly, competent at his job, and a decent roleplayer who understands not only what roleplay is, but how to go about it. Furthermore, the applicant shows a defined knowledge of what the reason behind the whitelist is for both ICly and OOCly. Lastly, the character has a believable background story, and I can't wait to see him in action. ... Aside from the pinching of Ali's bum. Actually, that was pretty interesting, go for it.

Yeah, usually when the round is going slow, I let the labs do as they please. I'm assuming you're mainly referring to the round that's going on right now. If so, the reason I wasn't giving many orders was because of the whole comms thing. But other than that, noted. Thank you, Chris, and I'll try to rectify that.
