How corrosive is your ammo that your firearm gets ruined after less than a few hours of use? We're not really fighting in mud here, lmao.

However corrosive it has to be so I can get gun-cleaning mechanics.

Getmore ammo. Cheap as dirt, and corrosive just as much.

On a more serious note, I'd imagine gun cleaning to be more of a rp fluff thing.
