I'm back you fuckers!!!! After a long hiatus between a few bits and personal pieces I have now returned. Hopefully we can all continue to potentially kill each other together. Carry on.

I'm hoping that the people involved will be dedicated enough to have everyone contributing to the whole thing

Afternoon all. I'm beginning to pursue the art of GMing. I'll be hopefully running a game based on the fallout series in light of the new announcement. Anyone who has been in a game of D&D or DH will know the story. Basically it Will be fallout 3, following the same basic storyline, and using the GURP system. Either that or I'll write my own story, and we can develop it from there. For those of you who don't have experience in this sort of RP, it's relatively straightforward. You create a character using the set guidelines, which are quite broad, and start out on a set quest, however all the decisions are up to you and the team you are with. I'll cap it at 8 players, and a minimum of 4. Ideally we'd do all this over Skype, and each session can take anywhere from an hour to a whole Day. One spot is reserved for a good friend of mine, and the rest are open. The situations are resolved by dice rolling similar to older RPGs. During a game, most of the situation is pretty much good fun RP mixed with intense debate and action sequences resolved by complicated dice rolling. Skills, which are set to your character upon creation, are taken into account when situations arise. Anyone interested please let me know, and if there is enough interest I'll get a game running. Thanks guys!

I don't suppose that there is any way of implementing money for the server? The current system is very basic and simply for RP. Just a thought on what you can implement for it to be used for. Ideas?

Yeah, I think the ships are a bit small, and a tad understaffed. Going by any other space lore, ships are gargantuan, often assembled in space. I suppose with the way Aurora is run, with the power systems, and a few other factors, size and staff can be scaled down. Is there any way I can get involved with this development Sam? I'm very interested in this.

Week Is too long. One or two days a week. And if favouritism is an issue, that's a separate issue to deal with.

One or two days a week, maybe Monday and Thursday on during the day could be good. All day extended. I have a deep hatred of this chairp that goes on especially in the ay lobby. Extended has a habit of boring several in people for two more hours, and if there is no antagonist, there is a stagnation and in turn a lull in activity. Perhaps, if we have a round once a week, where we have an extended with specific picked antags, or someone can ahelp to apply for antagonist. Thoughts?

Just a quick tip, all of your examples of duties are IC duties. They'll be asking you to provide knowledge of what you need to do outside of your departmental duties and outside of character. -
As someone who is following the Lore Team very closely, in want of being inducted myself, I have seen these issues as a third party. I've seen it in OOC chat, occasionally over the forums, and it can often come through in IC too. I think the issue is that both parties are unwilling to yield and find some kind of compromise. On Eric's part, you need to learn that everyone has a place, and there's a place for everyone. Surely the reason they won't accept you is good enough, and there's no reason you can't change your ways a bit, and fit into the mould a bit more. You act like you are entitled to be a part of the Dev team, when there are obviously issues that have not been addressed. On the LoreDev's part, and I'll tar you all with the same brush here, there has been baiting, and unfortunately a few of you responded in what was seen as a harsh manner, and this was used against you. Surely If a proposition was made for Erik to change, then he would make more of an effort, in retrospect to what happened in the past. All in all, I'll repeat the sentiment above me, before going through all the "official" means of solving the solution, have a bit of humanity, and try and talk it down, come to a compromise, and make sure that this community is better off with the decision you've all made, and that most people are happy. Sorry to butt in, but I thought an "Outside Party" might be a benefit.

A little with wikis, but mostly with forums, steam and the like. I have no problem working with that though, and I'm adept with bbcode and formatting. -
Since imagine we've developed further than the whole 8 hours of sleep and only at night style of waking, and the clocks in space are an inter galactic stardate, with a switch to local time when planetary orbit or when one lands on a planet. Since the station is most likely orbitting the planet faster than the planet rotates, there isn't much point in using the planetary time. As it wouldn't make sense.

Quick question, not sure if it's been dealt with before. Would a cyborg, either round starting or created mid round, possess their own memories? An argument can be made that their memories be cleared to reduce the risk of madness. Discuss I suppose.

Name:Martin Xavier Age: 49 Gender: Male Race: Human Title: Financial Comptroller Brief Bio: Growing up in the high rising Financial District on Sol IV (Mars) he was always good with money. His father was the primary financial advisor/comptroller on board the NSS Ara, a high tech defence research station, and in turn, this led to not only a lot of travelling, but a great deal of off hand experience in dealing with financial figures. Always eager to learn, and a very smooth talking individual, he quickly began to follow in his father's footsteps. He always watched his father work, and was fascinated by numbers, and began to develop a real intuitive approach, at times, even at the age of 15, advising his father, and finding different ways to get around financial difficulty. His father, seeing this early initiative and ability, sent him back to Olympia, on Mars, to undertake a degree in accounting. At the age of 24 he graduated with a doctorate in Grand Scale Accounting, and the use of "micro-financing in management of corporate level facilities". Following his postgraduate employment with NanoTrasen, he was granted the title of Internal Affairs Agent aboard the same facility as his father, the NSS Ara, with his speciality being the investigation of improper use of funds aboard a high risk facility. This led to a great skill being developed for finding tiny irregularities in the grand web of finance. After several successful audits, he found that one of the areas money was being siphoned off to, was a leak account that was leaking money, and a information to outside sources. This led to the investigation of the Financial Controller of the station, his own father. An arrest was made, and although his father was found innocent, he was excommunicated from his family. This led to his reputation as a kind of "Man of Steel", not relenting to pursue his father over a serious leak. This however is untrue, as he did deeply care for what happened, but higher powers made the call to pursue the case. His relentless reputation spread throughout the corporation, with the story of the man who saved the secrets of the research station by auditing his father running rampant, and he was contacted by a consultant of the Board of Directors, and taken on board as the Secretary to the Treasurer, at the young age of 30. Following 6 years at the Secretary's side, he was sought after by the then Financial Controller, and was transferred as his advisor. After implementing his own method of micro-financing in management of corporate level facilities, using his Doctorate title, the Comptroller was impressed, and after financial reforms brought new profits, and in turn, more contracts, and the opening of more research stations, he was reaping the credit from the young man. In time, it became obvious that the younger advisor was behind the real money being made behind the company, and after a brief transition period, Xavier was made the FC in 2440, and became a close and trusted associate of Miranda Trasen.
