Minijar - Unban Request (Mistaken Identity)
Minijar replied to Minijar's topic in Unban Requests Archive
No, nothing like that on my end. I've no idea why it's happening. I guess my only option is to wait until my ISP refreshes my IP address? Or use a VPN? Though I'm not sure if that's allowed/approved of. -

No luck yet, still coming up with the ckey ban for someone called Karoks. -
BYOND Key: Minijar Total Ban Length: No idea Banning staff member's Key: mattatlas Reason of Ban: Griefing apparently Reason for Appeal:I'm pretty sure this is a case of mistaken identity or some weird network error, there's another recent unban request here where another ckey is listed as being banned but it's showing up for me. See here: . No idea what's caused this and I don't use a VPN or anything.

Reporting Personnel: Anna Clifford Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Head of Personnel Game ID: b4R-c8wM Personnel Involved: - Fernando Gonzales - Chief Medical Officer: Offender - Anna Clifford - Head of Personnel: Witness - Khaled Al-Bastaki - Head of Security: Witness Secondary Witnesses: - Natalie Duponte - Quartermaster: Witnessed Gonzales ordering the mentioned order and asissted in collecting cargo records for investigation - Valorallen Vitellia - Captain: Briefly looked into the matter before declaring it a misunderstanding Time of Incident: 19:22 Real Time: Approx 21:00 GMT 24/12/2019 Location of Incident: NSS Aurora Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ Overview of the Incident: The long and short of the matter is as follows; At approximately 19:22 Fernando Gonzales withdrew 3000 credits from the Station Medical Account, something that I found out after noticing he had previous CCIA reports about him inappropriately spending departmental funds. Following further investigation and hearing from Natalie Duponte, the Quarter Master, I learnt he had purchased an order containing a ballistic vest and helmet as a 'gift' for someone, for whom I am unsure. After inquiring with Duponte further, she handed over records indicating that the total cost for the order was 6,350 credits. I then looked into Fernando's account and the medical account after discovering he started the shift with 5,616 credits in his personal account, notably less than required for the 'gift', and saw he had deposited three thousand thalers, from the medical account into his own, bringing his total up to 8,616 credits. He then spent the required amount on the Cargo order and proceeded to spend a further 120 credits on snacks from a vending machine. At this time I suspected Gonzales of embezzling funds from the Medical Account for his own gain and immediately reported the matter to the Captain Vitellia. I met with him and explained the matter to him, and he would see to the matter, he later called Gonzales to his office and presumably discussed the matter, for some time. Before I received a PDA message to the effect of it being a misunderstanding and that the purchase was a gift for medical and the matter was resolved. I saw the purchase of a ballistic vest for medical unneeded and inappropriate but I let the matter slide until Gonzales announced he had repaid the outstanding balance to the medical department, which was three thousand credits that he initially took. However, due to the purchases, he was only able to pay back 2146, leaving the medical account 854 credits short, meaning he has in effect stolen money. By this time the captain had left for the shift and I was concerned with their own findings, either they had missed the eight hundred credit shortfall or were willing to overlook it, regardless, that is outside the scope of this complaint. Given this, I raised the issue with the Head of Security Khaled Al-Bastaki, and he reviewed the evidence I had collected (see additional notes) and concluded that if I was right, it was more resembling fraud than theft, however I am not a forensic accountant, he also recommended I make this complaint formally to CCIA given my own personal involvement with the matter and that the captain declared the matter 'put to rest' as well, to recuse ourselves from it. I feel this issue is highly important as Gonzales has been reprimanded for inappropriate use of station funds before and to make the same offence again shows complete disregard for rules and the way we do things at Nanotrasen. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: Yes, Captain Valorallen Vitellia and Head of Security Khaled Al-Bastaki Actions taken: Internal Investigation and collecting of evidence by myself and reporting to two heads of staff before reporting the issue here. Additional Notes: Please find attached the transaction logs for Gonazales' Account and the Medical Account as well as the order made by Gonzales for the ballistics armour.

Psychiatrists will have a lot less work given that cloning is the main cause of mental conditions. I'm not sure if this is how it already works, but to make up for the loss of work as a result of this PR, maybe make it so any mild-severe head trauma/brain trauma can cause mental conditions?

Byond key: Minijar Character names: Anna Clifford, U.P.L.I.N.K, Widow, Walter Riley. What times are you available? In GMT: GMT: +0. Since I live in England. Available 3:30 PM onwards to about 10 PM weekdays, and weekends mostly all day to ten as well. Why do you want to be a Duty Officer? I feel being a duty officer would offer a new roleplay experience that drastically differs from any other roles that are currently available. It would provide an almost administrative duty that completely reside within IC grounds. I also greatly enjoy Internal Affairs roles and feel that DO would give me some of that satisfaction but to a more in depth level. I believe that it would provide some excellent role play opportunities as I play as someone who oversees station incidents and affairs. It should also give me some great fun moments when handling IC incidents. How well can you handle stress? I can handle stress fairly well, even when in a stressful position, such as an officer under attack, I can make a clear and coordinated decision. I've had much experience in almost all station roles during chaos rounds and I usually make the right and logical choice. I also feel I could relieve others of stress such as head of staffs during a chaotic round by offering them reassurance and the required support. What does it mean to be a Duty Officer? Paper pushing for a start which I love for some benign reason. Filing all that delicious paperwork takes a machine with a soul, and that machine is a duty officer. It means to provide support with IC incidents such as harassment from a co-worker and then to provide appropriate IC punishment such as an anger management course. It also involves carefully monitoring the rounds in order to build a detailed and decisive report for IC matters and incidents. In an essence, they exist to take care of IC matters that Server staff don't meddle with, IE someone who punched someone after being drunk, not someone flat out murdering someone over a spilt drink. Anything else to add? Negative.

Would this include the VOX system? Because if so yes please I want that. I want my Half-Life vox memories back.

So, I've asked Skull about this and it seems there's no definite ruling on the matter. Who of the staff know of Code Delta? Obviously it's a last resort for anything and usually a secret, but I believe only the captain should have knowledge of it. What do you guys think? Should the knowledge be kept alone to the cap or the rest of command?

While I am against this, perhaps do a few days testing on the server to show people how awful it is without cloning then add it back in after say a week.

I'm really not a fan of this update, everything seems far too open for my liking. All the rooms are essentially large empty boxes with a few pieces of furniture thrown inside. The bar is far too big for any possible use, the botany area is just a long corridor with hydro-trays lining the walls, the pasture is a three by three room which is nowhere big enough for livestock to be kept. There is also no pool. Just most of the rooms seem waaay to big, and mostly consist of boring square rooms. Look at the HOP office for example long corridor with basic equipment thrown in. The brig lobby, a large square with chairs and a desk. it's just plain and repetitive and poorly planned and designed in my opinon.

BYOND key: Minijar Character names: Anna Clifford, Houston Croft How long have you been playing on Aurora?: About a month an a half. (Might need clarification on this since I've got awful memory) Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I'd like to be on the Head Of Staff whitelist as I particularly enjoy positions of command and I take pride in the responsibility that is entrusted to you as one. Why did you come to Aurora?: I came to Aurora after server hopping one night out of boredom, discovering it had an abundance of extra features and a much friendlier community then the one previously. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Repeatedly and I have infact contributed to several of them. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is adapting yourself to take part in a make-believe world where you as a individual have a role to fulfil, you create a new persona for yourself to portray and you essentially create a life for that character despite it being fictional. I believe it is to allow you to have a role in a fictional life that you is impossible for you to procure in real life either due to physical limitations such as technology or mental limitations such as the actual knowledge of how to configure and maintain an atmospherics system on a space craft. In my eyes, it's a story that you write in real time and it's a world where your actions no matter how deviant, will not have a real world effect. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: I believe the OOC purpose of a Head Of Staff is a multitude of reasons; they provide guidance (Hopefully) to new players, offering unique roleplay opportunities such as training and reprimand for in character actions. They're also here to organise what could be without them a chaotic mess of players who have no idea how to collaborate together on a plan or objective. It's difficult to answer really as I don't consider jobs typically for an OOC purpose. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: The OOC responsibilities are numerous; whitelisted players are entrusted with a significance of authority and power that regular players are not and thus must use these privileges to the best of their ability to make the game more enjoyable and interesting for other players, whether this be through OOCly helping new players and teaching them new aspects of the game or setting a prime example for how people should act aboard a space age vessel. It's also a rolemodel I suppose for those who may oneday also try and become a head of staff. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Anna Clifford Character age: 38 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Anna Clifford was born into a somewhat traditional family; A caring 'stay at home' mum, A father who'd do anything to protect his 'little girl'. However her parents were incredibly protective, believing her life would be significantly better if she strayed away from the hussel and bussel of space and remained where her parents could keep an eye on her. Eventually, she managed to escape her parents grip and sought to make a life of her own out in the stars. Starting of as a simple secretary, Clifford soon found herself working for Nanotrasen and began quickly working her way through the ranks. However her progress was soon halted when tragedy struck, receiving a simple transmission that her parents had both died in home invasion. Distraught Clifford decided to use her many vacation days that she had accumulated over the years at Nanotrasen. Taking a long break she finally returned after a three month absence. Working slowly at first she began resuming her life for the company and surely with time she began to make herself known as a capable and trustworthy employee. What do you like about this character?: I really admire her professionalism and ability to stay calm whilst someone may be screaming at her as a reprimand, I also enjoy how she will tend to underplay an emergency frequently assured the station crew can easily keep it under control. What do you dislike about this character?: I honestly dislike how open she can be sometimes and overly trusting of some people despite not knowing them. Maybe that's just passing in from me though. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Clifford has basic knowledge of most departments (Barring atmospherics because only wizards are allowed in there) and has a tendency to try and supervise people when heads are not around. She is typically mature except when being humorous which is rare for her, and she has the patience and time to dedicate to the role at the company. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: Without sounding naive I'd like to believe I am a somewhat high quality roleplayer. Frequently entering intricate and delicate roleplay scenarios I'd like to think I'm a decent roleplayer, however that's from my own point of view and I don't really like to gauge myself without others opinions. I do recognise however that I may be a little brash sometimes when reacting to something and should probably rethink certain actions before actually doing them. Extra notes: If it counts for anything, I frequently played Head roles on Baystation and am very familiar with the advanced functioning of most departments, I also authored some of the wiki pages on Bay for the head roles and antagonists.

I confirm all of this, I thought the messing around though was actually part of the act to cultify me but I guess I was wrong.
