BYOND Key: Ian The Corgi Character Names: Alywine Christiandottir, Lyall Donne, MOSSY, Lavanya Wilson. Species you are applying to play: Vaurca What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Zo'Ra Bound Worker Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Twice now. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: To have more opportunities in space station thirteen, as a vaurca I would have more characters to play as with extra backstory options, I also like the vaurca as a species far more than catbeasts or the rest and would like to play as them, I think I could fill the position of being a bound vaurca that no other vaurca seems to have taken, I could help expand the player base of the vaurca. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Roleplaying the Vaurca requires hive mind thought, wherein you do not acknowledge your life having significant value other than service to the hive, Vaurca also have many in game bonuses and drawbacks which can make them mechanically quite different as well as the roleplay. And as the bound, my character wouldn't have any self-drive so would be doing jobs very focused. Character Name: Ka'Akaix'Torth Zo'Ra Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Ka'Akaix'Torth does not know when they were born, they know they have been in VR for many years, then... it has been nearly 3 years since they left VR, yet as if they were in the VR only yesterday, Torth has been working in the bowels of the ship for most of the time outside VR, theres few unbound positions down here, so one-on-one conversation is hard to come by, alas, such is the life of the worker caste. 6 months later Torth has arrived at Biesel. Torth is moved out of the Titan Prime in a large swarm, they dont know where exactly they are headed, but it seems the hive wills it. It's a long walk to the docks, along the way they peak above the crowd at some points and see many that dont seem to be walking with them, Alot of bound seem to be walking, yet Torth knows over the hivemind that there is many more Unbound making the trip than might be expected, maybe the ship has arrived. The dock isnt far now, it must be where all that noise is coming from. Several bound are effeciently directing the flow of traffic, though everyone already knows where to go. They are packed tight into a shuttle, and the entrance seals everyone in, the vessel starts shaking as the engines engage. The flight is loud, even the bound are talking, explaining what they know to the unbound, most likely. It wasn't too long before they were being moved around by things that weren't.. Vaurca. 3 days later Torth has been settled into a refugee camp in Biesel, Their job is a simple one, they have been put in charge of keeping the machinery of the settlement running, the work isnt hard as the settlement is small, The camp has 12 vaurcae, 4 unbound, 6 bound, 2 K'lax Bound. The bound here all sleep in one building, but the 4 unbound share 2 buildings between them. The bound work around the clock, and the unbound mostly just manage the bound, they don't seem to have any work ethic. Maybe more Vaurcae will join the settlement soon. 1 month later Torth wakes up, this is the time, they walk outside and join a large crowd. The second they entered the group, the gathering began to walk along, following some human in armour. the group walks about a mile before they reach a large building, it stands out among the handbuilt shelters. as they go inside the building they are instructed towards large.. portals.. they see other Vaurcae walking into these large structures and disappearing, they reflect on their experience, and their growing settlement. Torth falls through the gateway, and follows the line of unbound that have formed, disguising their shock from the gateway. At the end of the line, the Vaurcae are split between 3 seperate rooms, Vaurcae go into the rooms, but dont seem to come out of them. Torth enters the second nearest one. NT Interviewer: "Hello, you've been selected by your hive to work at one of our research stations?" Ka'Akaix'Torth Zo'Ra: "Yez" NT Interviewer: "Could I get your name please" Ka'Akaix'Torth Zo'Ra: "Number iz Torthz" NT Interviewer: "And what position are you applying for?" Ka'Akaix'Torth Zo'Ra: "Hive tellz me Lab Azziztant" NT Interviewer: "Alright, that will be all, do you have any questions?" Ka'Akaix'Torth Zo'Ra: "No" The Interviewer slides a ticket with a 8 digit number printed on it towards the Vaurca NT Interviewer: "Take this to the ID issuer just down this hallway on the right" The Interviewer presses a button on his desk, and a door opens. The Interviewer leans into an intercom and shouts "NEXT" in a gruff voice. What do you like about this character? I like that the character cares about their settlement, and has a genuine work ethic. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 8/10 Notes: I have applied before and been denied, +1s still stand.

Spiders, are not even a threat anymore. just a nuisance. Spiderlings - Your average chaplain can snuff one of these little shits out Spiders - Lock in room, call sec This suggestion hopes to implent: NEW ABILITIES FOR SPOODERS: - Full size spooders can go into the vent system, and will do automatically if there is more people than spooders in sight (including itself). - Spooders can breed without people murder, lay eggs that grow much slower than face eggs - UNCOMMON, prevent spooder spam - People who are turned into spider mums become one of their little kiddo spooders. - Ghosts can join as spooders grown by non-face eggs. - Spiders can actually break windows. - Spiders immune to pressure + air. - Playerspider Hivemind. - Spiders given random numbers, player nurse with highest number gets large text in hivemind, and IS THE LEADER. - If a spider is bitten by a human with radiation poisoning, it becomes manspider - Playerspoodurrr chooses nurse or hunter or warrior, nurse makes nests, hunter is fast, both lay eggs, warrior is ROBUST AF. NEST ABOOLOTTTIIES: - Spooders make more webs. - People are slowed by web, and cannot see through it - Spooders move freely through web, and see all the way through it (player spooders) - Spudddddorrs can 'Web' doors and emergency shutters, jamming them open - Nurses can make nests, if a spider buckles themselves to a nest, they regain health. SPOODER DEBOOFFS - Do not target Dionas. - Web catches fire from emitters, lighters and candles.

[Denied] Ian The Corgi's Vaurca App
Ian The Corgi replied to Ian The Corgi's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
It is my expectation that all Vaurcae whitelists should be applied with a backstory of an Unbound Vaurcae. This does not forbid you from playing as a Bound Vaurcae, and you are by no means expected to play as the character you apply as. The reasoning for this is simple - a Bound application does not provide sufficient opportunity to allow an applicant to demonstrate their knowledge of the lore, due to the fact that Bound are mindless workers that do not deserve a long backstory. Unbound, on the other hand, provide a perfect opportunity to demonstrate lore knowledge. The primary purpose of a whitelist application is to test an applicant's lore knowledge, as such you may only apply as a Bound. I will be codifying this in an announcement shortly, but I thought you should know beforehand, since your application is already posted. To clarify - you may play as a Bound as soon as you are accepted, but to be accepted your backstory needs to be written as an Unbound Vaurca. You do not need to play the character you apply with, as their only purpose is to test your knowledge of the lore. Whitelists are after all playerbased, and not character-based. Due to this, I will be giving you two extra days, so that you may make the requisite changes. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask via a PM. Done, thanks for the second chance. -
Ian The Corgi's Unban Request
Ian The Corgi replied to Ian The Corgi's topic in Unban Requests Archive
I did something slightly mad, that ended awfully by accident, this wasnt me "self-antagging". This was me being shit at Hacked MULE operation. Notes stand, but this isnt an instance of me "continuing" this is just me trying to do something in round that's dumb. I dont see how having notes make this an instance of me being evil, im just shit at controlling those things, and wont try something like this in the future. -

Ian The Corgi's Unban Request
Ian The Corgi replied to Ian The Corgi's topic in Unban Requests Archive
Please try to see this; 1) I WAS NOT BANNED but i had warnings 2) then the MULEbot incident occurred AND I WAS BANNED and have warnings why did the MULE incident trigger the ban if i was banned for having notes? -
BYOND Key: Ian The Corgi Total Ban Length: 7 days Banning staff member's Key: nursiekitty Reason of Ban: multiple notes of chucklefucking in addition to today#39s incident where they had themselves and another person ran over by a mulebot. Reason for Appeal: What is this about Exactly? Im not appealing the notes of chucklefucking. Im appealing this ban, which was for the incident with the MULEbot. ontop of notes. Notes + MULE incident = ban Notes =/= ban is my premise here, so im going to appeal why the MULEbot incident was totally not worthy of provoking this ban. So what happened Exactly? I hacked a MULEbot to have - Max Speed - No Loading Control - Bloodlust Murder Death Evilness from the gates of hell oh god what is -/CRUNCCH/- *Screams* AHH Why..? Just why...? 2 main reasons, 1) To Scare the crap out of Paul Guess Me and Paul were having a fighteoroony, and I wanted to scare him with a speeding murder-mule 2) To be the hero that the Exodus deserves. There was currently an outbreak and after scaring paul I was going to run them over with a MULE if they got in the path of the MULE I memorized all game damage, and MULE hits dont kill you instantly Afforementioned slime outbreak reached cargo, GLOMP GLOMP. How did they get in? I had called for medical, then stood in the door until i collapsed to make sure the door would be open for medical when they arrived. Slimes.. Uhh.. Uh.. Find a way.

Apparently you all got it wrong, weekbanned for chucklefucking. -
Also, I cant wait for this to catch on if this roundtype is added.
-
Ehhhh nope, this round is about true creepiness, and it isnt 'invisible' in light, its gone, vaminos, walk through it, cant touch it whatsoever, and it cant touch you. Diana, is for all intensive purposes gone during this time (refer to my earlier gif). Burn damage hurting the shadow is also moderately ridiculous, as you get it from lazooorrs and fire, which arent known for their complete darkness. The idea isnt ever being able to beat it, the idea is hurting the anchor, or getting the hell out of there. (crew lose if it escapes on the shuttle though). Its not a shadow, its a suber buffed person who becomes invisible ghost lady whenever the lights are turned on, with no indication of where she is.
-
The creature has TAJARAN VISION, and can only be in LOW LIGHT, like even dark shadows.
-
UPDATE: Paroxetine no longer prevents creature, too metagamey.

Picture of Diana, forgot to include one for those not intrepid enough to explore the internet.
