Overview of the Incident: The shift had just started, I make my way over to the HoP to request a transfer to xenobiology since there were no scientists on the schedule. the HoP notes that my qualifications are adequate and has me fill out the form but they say they need the captains approval for a change like this. I wait outside and Lena walks by, we have a pleasant chat before the Captain shows up. Cera Rivers is immediately unpleasant, doesnt say hello or anything before moving to explain that shes denying my request. I ask why this is the case to which she says "listing 'personal' under reasons is not adequate enough", to which I ask what is considered adequate to which she replies, "something that will be acceptable for such a change in pay-grade" to which I replied that this was literally a lateral move, and the pay wasn't any higher, to which she says "but the pay is different". I say they are in the same department, I am qualified, there is no large difference in pay, and what would she like me to list under reasoning other then personal, she tells me shes not going to sit here arguing with me, I asked if sitting here and being incredibly vague about what her expectations were was what she would like to do instead, she simply says 'give me your PDA'. 

Now, I had about had it with her mean spirited and frankly incredibly obtuse attitude this early in the morning which I no longer wished to deal with, she was clearly abusing her rank and role to patronize and belittle her employee's in an arbitrary manner. there was no respect shown from here at all. I throw her my PDA which she fails to catch, which she then dramatizes and calls security for, I comply with the arrest and take the incredibly unnecessary battery charge, and I am also suspended without cause. 

Later on while making my way to the bar, I am met with a very rude gentleman who begins an altercation with me, I tell them multiple times to leave me alone, security arrives and separates us, however the captain is also present and begins making rude comments about how I am unable to follow orders since I didn't leave the scene, to which I replied that I shouldn't be treated like the aggressor and shouldn't be the one to have to leave. the captain begins to belittle me again and tells me she owns me and this is her ship, with her rules, and everything is hers and I will learn to respect her and all this other meaningless jabber on this ridiculous power trip of hers to which I tell her that I am in no hurry to follow the orders of someone who arbitrarily suspends people she disagrees with and then she slaps me across the face. I respond by hitting her as well, however am the one security moves to over-zealously detain with maximum force. She is given barely a slap on the wrist and probably didnt even have to pay a fine while I am brigged for the second time in the most outrageous display of corruption I have ever seen where a captain can simply detain those she doesn't like. 

this was, frankly, horrible. I was belittled, manhandled, beaten, detained, and humiliated for no reason but the whim of a corrupt captain with a chip on their shoulder and no manners. one who initiated, instigated and even assaulted me. 

Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: who does one report the captain too?

Actions taken: NONE

Additional Notes: These unfortunate incidents have forever changed my coworkers perceptions of me, the captain was made to appear as the victim and I as the criminal
