DronzTheWolf Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Baystation has merged holsters and belts in a way that allows you to press 'h' to holster and un-holster your gun if it's in a belt. I can see this working for our code as well, though I can also see some flaws like accidentally unholstering your tazer and gun akimbo if the code is wonky. I'm as far from a coder as one can get, but considering putting your gun in your belt gives it the same sprite as the hip holster, it's implied that the belt has a holster for guns in it. It'd make sense, and lead the way for regular Sec Officers/Cadets to no longer need holsters outside their duty belt, other than aesthetic or just utilizing their own belt chemistry.
Carver Posted October 5, 2019 Posted October 5, 2019 (edited) I prefer the holsters outside the belt, because not everyone uses the God-awful hotkey toggle (and making it a verb to access either the belt or the gun is terrible). It adds a valuable choice of 'webbing vs holster', and as a mention, Security belts can already hold their two standard side-arms (taser and pistol), implying they already have a holster. Edited October 5, 2019 by Carver The more I think about this, the more Bay is really stupid for doing such an addition when belts can just hold a weapon normally.
