Sulfuric acid in imprinters?

Like whats the point, i get glass, and metal and silver... All materials that will be consumed for construction, usual. But whats the point of the sacid? Just made to make printing harder, and requiring you only to go to the dispenser and refill it. And if that runs out, ask chem for more. I am open to receiving reason for this, but if the sole point was just to make recipes more time consuming, just increase the time to build them?

Back in the day this was mainly to encourage you to interact with medical or take the long fucking walk to the chemistry lab on the asteroid. With the current map? I don't really see the point, but it may be worth keeping to bring back the 'interdepartmental interaction' dynamic for future maps.

Okay, thats one... But really, you could just bring a closet with big beakers, waste all of chems supplies and get back, good to be for about 30minutes at least? I guess? Its still kinda dull and like won't rnd make its own chem dispenser?

Security does not make it's own autolathe when it requires ammunition. Whilst you probably could make a chem dispenser, it's really far more effort than just going and asking for the chemicals, and may require ordering things from cargo (which is also interdepartmental interaction).

I do question how you'd go through so much acid in 30 minutes, though.

Alright then, interdepartmental interaction should be in game, but i just dont think that chemistry should be supplying rnd. Otherwise, its okay

Research already has its own chemical dispenser.

Yes, thats why i think this is kinda dull, but it sometimes can get empty, right?
