How long have you been playing on Aurora?:A few months now, probably three or four.

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?:Mainly because there's never a Chief Engineer, which is the head I plan to mostly play, a very important head position that I feel I could adequately fill.

Why did you come to Aurora?:Because I wanted a Space Station 13 server with decent roleplaying.

Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?:Yes.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about:Roleplaying is taking on the persona of an original character and acting as they would in a community of other roleplayers. As you are part of a community, you should respect other people, the characters they create (At least OOC respect them), and their personal beliefs and boundaries. Roleplaying should be about building a character, helping build other characters, and eventually creating a miniature narrative of sorts with other players.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:The OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is somewhat similar as the purpose of a Head IC, which would be to help coordinate and control their department or departments. Some examples could be taming a conflict happening in LOOC, or acting as support to a new player, not just to the department, but to the game in general. OOCly, the Head should be friendly, approachable, and not start major conflict.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?:I believe that players who are whitelisted tend to show examples of quite developed and respectable characters, and as such, can be seen as role models of sorts to new players, or even experienced players who wish to learn from them. As such, it's the responsibility of a whitelisted player to be an acceptable guide and leader figure while out of character, for the best interests of everyone they come in contact with.

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs):Ramiel was not so much born as she was simply removed from a vat, brought into this world on April 16th, 2425 in a Luna based bioengineering company's laboratory, grown from Irish genestock and augmented with several nanotechnological cybernetic enhancements. She was adopted by an affluent Cockney couple living in an orbital colony, typically receiving whatever she asked for. Raised with little to no manners other than "Say 'please' and 'thank you'", young Ramiel often got into arguments that sometimes led into "small" fistfights. Nigh universally hated by her teachers, and distant from her adoptive parents, Ramiel went through life with no role models except for herself, until an incident involving smuggling copious amounts of an off-brand of Hyperzine brought her into contact with a local genius hardware and software hacker. Acting as a sort of father figure to her, Ramiel quickly realized she was destined for being an engineer.

In her mid twenties, after seeing small amounts of local fame as a kickboxer, Saxon left her home colony on a small shuttle heading for Tau Ceti. Living in Mendell City and striking up an engineering job with NanoTrasen, first working with spacecraft flight instruments and navigation computers, Saxon went on to working as an electrician on board NanoTrasen space stations, most of them currently decommissioned. At age 31, she began work on board the NSS Aurora, where she has found a job as a maintenance engineer. Famous stunts include: The Waterslide Incident, and that time she accidentally served free cigarettes to the bar patrons while trying to fix the cigarette vendor.

What do you like about this character?:She's very independent, thinks mostly logically, and can stand her own in a fight. Her genetically engineered birth allows some interesting conversation as well.

What do you dislike about this character?:OOC I probably wouldn't like the fact that she ends up starting a lot of fistfights. Though, it's a character flaw that adds some flavor.

Do you think this character is fit to be a Head of Staff?:I mean, probably. While she can have problems managing her frustration in an acceptable manner, most of the time she's level headed and a good guide.

Howdy. The head whitelist itself is for all heads, not just CE, just so you know.

Application looks good, I'd like a little more backstory (just a little), and I hope you'll be on later this week to RP more, haven't seen you around except in OOC or on the forums here. Withholding endorsement until then

I recall Ramiel from yesterday. She was signed on as an electrician correct? She's certainly competent enough ICly, though you had to log out before Khayyam and Ramiel could get a chance to really chat much. Solid character from what little I did see however. I would love to get more chances to chat with her.

If you do get this I could forward you a rather nicely-formatted wire code form for you own use (or if you want it, I can just send it to you). My only stipulation is that you fill it /all/ in next time. Even if you do derp with the actual "writing the codes down" bit.
