You know how some days you wish you were kidnapped by a rakish gang of space pirates syndicate opperatives and carried off to their shuttle to be ravished brutally beaten with crowbars and ransomed back to your crew? But, of course, those dashing buccaneers killhappy bombfuckers always pick someone else for their daring and flawlessly executed brutal and inept kidnappings. It's so sad... post what horrible things you want antags and/or those scum at centcom event admins to do to your characters. I'll start off...

I play EmPrESS, the beloved and somewhat sociopathic AI, and I want...

To be harassed by cyberphiliacs (or whatever you call people who perv out on AIs). Seriously, this would be fucking hilarious, and something to do when I play during dead-hour. Not that Emp would be interested, but... like I said, hilarious.

To be kidnapped. I don't care if you drag my core, card me... hell, you can co-opt me first so I'm part of your sick pirate gang mercenary team... just kidnap me when it's all over. Just remember, if you drag the core onto a non-simulated tile (like a shuttle of any kind) I lose power and die horribly (but not irrecoverably... I think).

To be co-opted by antags (I'm looking at you, nuke agents) and actually involved in their planning process. No, seriously, ICly you've got a sentient supercomputer on your side, OOCly you've got a player who has waaay too much experience playing AI. Take advantage of that. It'll be way more fun that having me just bolt down sec and command staff. If you can slip into a room with a holopad so we can have a private meeting, all the better.

To be subject to rampantly paranoia legitimately suspicions on the part of crewmembers who are concerned about having an ESS system onboard (see the EmPrESS technical brief http://aurorastation.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=853&p=8062 for more details) and want it removed from the station. Or whatever. Just hate me, publicly and violently civilly.

To be given secret orders from centcom as part of, like, a mutiny event... or, perhaps, the alien specimen must be preserved at all cost. Crew expendable. Or whatever. I'm useful for events.

To be subject to an AI psych eval. You heard me, you filthy overeducated headshrinkers station psychologists, I wanna have my positronic brain shrunk. Also, attempts at conversion by insane religious maniacs station chaplains are always welcome.

So, in short, gimme some RP. EmPrESS may not be the sort of character who seeks out interaction, but if you take the time to involve her, she can be both interesting and hilarious. What do you want people to do to your characters?

Just kidding, but Empress, well to me personally, has done not a whole lot to be seen as negative or positive for that matter. She's not really nuked the station and she's never really single handedly saved us from a nuke. Not saying I don't adore having her around, in reality she is better than many other AI's I had the displeasure of working with. But she's just sort of..there...a great addition, but there none the less. And I think nuke ops and traitors and asshats realize this and go for targets easier to hit and easier to offend and cause a reaction out of.

I have a feeling that Elena is oversexualized behind her back. I'm just waiting for someone to profess their undying loyalty and love for m-... I mean her. Jokes aside, since a while ago people have stopped trying to hit on, or actually try and talk to her at all. Must come with being 'the best catpain'.

Like seriously, she won't bite your head off for trying to talk to her. Even if you attampt to hit on her, worst she'll do is she'll laugh you off. She reserves Insulting a Head or Sexual Harassment charges for special type of asshole.

Don't forget to post your character name along with your twisted fantasies requests for RP, otherwise people might not know who you're talking about. I certainly don't have everyone's characters memorized.

Well, what am I going to say? Emp's a computer, and she acts like one as best as I'm able to RP it. She has little in the way of ego and sees insults as inaccurate input which generally can be disregarded. And while she doesn't have the sort of emotions that can be appealed to or otherwise used to manipulate her, she's adept enough at interacting with organics to know that they do... and to take advantage of that when needed.

Tehehehe... I think probably 'cause people get the impression EmPrESS is kinda unapproachable. Which she isn't. People have involved her in all sorts of RP, from chair racing/jousing to mouse funerals to refereeing games and (many times) to discussions of philosophy or other weighty matters. But no pervs yet.

I'll just advise, albeit its meta-friendish, if you see people trying to kidnap you, don't resist too much as long as they aren't ganky or griefy, Nuke ops really do need all the help they can get and feigning ignorence is the best way to make sure you get kidnapped, as you're not allowed to help Ops retroactively.

 

Tehehe... how am I supposed to pretend not to notice getting kidnapped? Better to just upload a law to co-opt EmPrESS and help her escape the station rather than having to drag her off while she's resisting. Unless it's one of those horrible dead-hour nuke rounds where the crew can't properly resist the operatives... then you could drag away a screaming EmPrESS and spend the rest of the round listening to my attempts to manipulate and insult the nuke ops. XD

Yes you do. And if you want to be really clever, get EmPrESS involved in planning your heist of, like, whatever it is you're stealing. And don't forget the AI can add or remove people from the crew roster and help guide you around the crew... just imagine a nuke round where noone even knows they're being robbed until after it's done. XD

Well, I play Jason Finn.

ICly he kind of wants attention. To be befriended ((Or flirted with, too, that's always nice)) by his coworkers. He has friends and all but he only REALLY knows about 4 of his coworkers well, and he doesn't even necessarily like some of them. He especially would like to get to know some more people who aren't complete idiots/maniacs/misanthropes since, when you don't know many people and go strictly by what's on comms, the station tends to give off the sort of vibe that implies that's EVERYONE on the station.

He also wants fun, exciting things to happen from time to time, as so much of what happens on the station seems to be negative.

More OOCly however, I'd like to see him targeted by Antags.

He's always a Chef, a bartender, a miner, a cargo techie, botanist, or nursing intern. None of which are jobs that typically draw any attention at all from Antags.

And one of the downsides of antags not having an assigned goal on this server is that while security, science and heads of staff seem to be the logical targets for antags to involve, Finn rarely even SEES the antagonists. He started looking at the kitchen as what is probably the safest room in the entire station since even in dire emergencies everything is usually fine there.
