Soultheif96 Posted May 2, 2020 Posted May 2, 2020 Due to some concerns raised by a couple players, I thought to make a suggestion post to address them. As it stands, Mercenaries are better equipped to tend to the wounded as they have blood bags and IVs, but they lack two essentials in brainmed and addresses the most common of afflictions. Alkysine and Peridaxon, which is for the brain and general organ treatment. Raiders have no IVs nor blood bags but like the Mercenaries, they have all the first aid kits and a surgery area. With just the way things are right now, it is easy to die without proper treatment and once the brain goes, the player is out of the round. The easiest way to kill people is by frying their organs with lasers or putting a bullet to the cranium. One shot can bring anyone down, even Aut'akh (Frying the haemeodynamic system thingy can flood your body with toxins and eventually kill you, but slowly.)What I suggest to add to both the Skyjack and the Mercenary Ship is these: Alkysine at 30u, and Peridaxon at 30u, both in bottles. An IV and two O- blood bags. Both parties have the necessary means to combat about everything externally and detoxing, but not enough to help with blood loss and organ failures. (You may be the quickest surgeon in the West, but I am pretty sure you are not going to save the person with a rapid organ failure without a second man doing CPR and watching their vitals.) I understand some would say medical right now also does not have alkysine and peridaxon at hand but they can get a pharmacist or someone qualified to make chemicals to do so, Raiders and Mercenaries don't have the means and must steal it from the chemistry fridge if they want to live.
Carver Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 With the nukies I'd just suggest letting them spend TCs on it so they have to make the decision whether to invest their limited resources into medicine, or to steal/manufacture it themselves on-station. Heisters weren't really supposed to self-surgery outside of using ghetto methods, but if they've fallen behind due to the medical changes that's unfortunate and should probably have something done regardless.
