I spawned in the AI chamber(or some similar place) and was immediately shot dead by turrets before I had a chance to do anything. I ahelped explaining the issue and asking politely if I may please be respawned, and was answered with a harsh "No" followed by immediately closing my ticket within the second, without any further explanation or time for me to reply. I already felt this was strangely harsh, given that I asked pretty politely.
It's not like I was killed while playing a rat and wanted an immediate respawn so I can pick up where I left off. I legitimately just didn't get a chance to play because of where my spawn point was.

I didn't understand why not, seeing as it wasn't explained, so I ahelped again asking "why?"

The response was "Because you're not getting a respawn, since it'd also mean you'd be able to respawn as a human".
I had no intention of spawning as a Human, nor did I see why it would be an issue if I did respawn as one, after all, if I waited 20 minutes I could respawn as one anyway, so why would this be an issue?
I informed MattAtlas about this, and asked them why me respawning as a Human would be an issue?

Their response didn't answer my question, and felt pretty accusatory. "Because respawns are not a right, and it is up to us to give it to you, not the opposite", followed immediately by another abrupt ticket-closing that gave me no chance to respond.

I felt like I was being treated pretty aggressively while also getting no answer for my questions.

I messaged a final, third time, to try and resolve the issue, expressing that I was bothered by the abrupt closings and replying to what was said. I was once again answered with a harsh answer and a ticket closure.
At this point I realized there's no room for discussion here and did not ahelp again. I waited out 20 or 30 minutes before eventually respawning.

Additional remarks:
I want to clarify: My issue here has less to do with the fact I was not given a respawn, but moreso with how rudely I felt it was handled, and the fact my questions weren't answered, and the fact I felt like I was getting the "phone" slammed in my face when I tried to be nothing but polite.
I honestly feel like the closest thing I did to being impolite was maybe ahelping a 3rd time, because I was confused, hoped this was just some miscommunication and was hoping we could resolve this amicably.

If I was not allowed a respawn but it was at least handled politely, I would not be writing this thread right now.

I'm not required to tell you a reason why you don't get a respawn, nor am I required to keep a ticket open, because those are given when admins want to. I didn't think you should be given one, so I told you no and closed the ticket.

You ahelped again asking why. I said why. You continued arguing. I explained again and closed the ticket.

You ahelped for the third time. I said no and closed the ticket.

I don't really know what else to say here.

As far I am aware, the respawn time for being rat is five minutes, you do not have to wait twenty minutes to play a rat. Asking for a respawn here is a bit too much.

Admins don't really have to give people respawns, unless they joined with the wrong character or got assigned another job at round start.  So, Matt just refusing to give you one was within his right here, and I don't think that he needed to give a reason unless it was one of the situations described already, neither explain why. He was not really rude, at most very short and straightforward. You also kept opening tickets over the same thing after being told no on your request.

If he punished you or something, that would likely be too much. But telling you no and closing the tickets? Not really.

The respawn was 20 minutes. I distinctly remember it saying I had 19:xx minutes left before I could respawn when I tried to. I also found it weird because I remembered it being 5 from previous games, but assumed it was one of the things that got changed while I was away from the game.

I checked it. You don't use the respawn command to join as a rat, you should use the ghost spawner, and it has around five minutes or so of waiting, since it uses its own flag instead of the common respawn. So, the admins should not have given you a respawn, you could have waited five minutes because you died of bad luck. Respawns should be given for a reason, and because someone wants to keep playing as a rat is not really an acceptable one.

In regards to matt being rude, he was not. He did not insult you or anything. You keep trying to discuss and question his decision. From the rules:

My conclusion is that we should just be more rigid with giving respawns for little to no reason, they should be given only for when people really need to respawn.
