The rucksack effectively optimizes the load of the character's current camping gear, as well as the additional stuff. Ideally it'd have the same capacity of a duffel bag (including the speed reduction that applies)
The stool and blanket are merely fluff items to flesh out the station campsite the character utilizes while employed on station itself. The stool would hopefully fold down as well, as shown in the provided sprites.
The ladle is a ladle. Nothing special but can be used, especially with the produce he commonly grows in the tunnel he inhabits on the Aurora.
The watering can will assist in the production in the tunnel, as well as serve as a memento of his mother.

camping stool: "A simple stool that folds down for easy storage."
tarnished ladle: "An old ladle, made from some form of metal material. It seems relatively well kept, if not aged."
makeshift watering can: "An old fuel can featuring numerous weld locations. It seems to have been fitted with metal piping and a funnel for use as a watering can. It isn't pretty, but it seems like it'd work well enough."

Why is your character bringing this item to work?: Long before the solarian invasion, my character began outright living aboard NSS Aurora, this involves providing the homely aspects as well as the conditioning ones. With nowhere else to store things, he travels light and brings the practical and important things with him.

How did your character obtain this item: Through a military surplus store, for the camping supplies. The ladle belonged to his great grandfather and the fuel can turned watering can was an heirloom passed down from his mother, one of the few things he wished to keep when he returned to his home briefly last year.

What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell?: Effectively the items are home, in conjunction with the rest of the camping equipment. All together they flesh out an already impressive little campsite that can be found aboard Aurora. The two items that hold the most value are arguably the ladle and the watering can, given their actual heirloom status, with the rest just being his choice in habitation, for a modern nomad.

Additional Comments: Effectively, I'm also seeking for the removal of the character's wallet, something I felt added much less to the roleplay of the character than I thought it did. The instead replacing items would do more to add to the character than the wallet itself would.

Items in red are currently possessed. The items in blue are being applied for, the others are just states. The tool_bag thing needs to be removed, as I forgot that was there. It's now crossed out in the picture.

I think Menown's camping equipment is one of the better,  if not best, custom items. He established his character basically being a tunnel hobo on the station long before he got this stuff and this just helps to cement that aspect of the character. I am really eager to see what he pulls off with the new items. Tunnel soup kitchen incmoming? +1
