Describe this proposal in a single sentence (12 word maximum):
NKA policing force that focuses on terrorists and enemies of the state.

How will this be reflected on-station?:
Primarily for backstory use and with loadout items I plan to PR in the form of a beret and coat marked with the Raakti Shariim's emblem and colors.

 

Does this faction/etc do anything not achieved by what already exists?:
Technically no with the new Law section of the New Kingdom article (Specifically, the Royal Constabulary). But, it does expand upon it and provides a faction controlled by the Kingdom itself instead of a given province that would be directly involved with handling any internal threats to the kingdom, terrorists, spies, persons of interest, etc.

Why should this be given to lore developers rather than remain player created lore?:
I plan to open a PR to provide the coat and beret I'd originally made as a custom item to be used as a loadout option and another option for an NKA character's backstory. I also feel this specific idea is better suited being available to anyone.

Do you understand that if this is submitted, you are signing it away to the lore team, and that it's possible that it will change over time in ways that you may not forsee?:
Yes - I'd rather this exist in a form that adheres with lore as best as it can and have a factor in other character's backstories and development, than be something I'm shoe horning in through a single character's history.

Long Description:
Originally formed shortly after the New Kingdom declared it's existance, the Raakti Shariim (Translated: Royal Peacekeepers) were the primary peacekeeping and policing force for the Kingdom. As the Royal Constabulary formed to managed individual provinces, the Raakti Shariim remained as a Kingdom-wide force focusing on higher profile targets such as spies, terrorists, domestic enemies of the Kingdom, and persons of interest. In recent years, with their new found focus, the Raakti Shariim have begun working more closely with the Royal Ministry of Intelligence, acting as the RMI's eyes and hand in various matters within the Kingdom's borders.
