Reason for complaint: Permabanned for protesting a strike issued for 'arguing in bad faith' regarding the NBT taking months to be ready (which was a statement made in December of last year)
Evidence/logs/etc: image.png.d3849c469fd83792a7b9c6222293e4a7.png
Additional remarks: Yeah, I dunno. See the following thread. Apparently I'm stirring shit up when I come back months later to point out that I was right and I ask for a strike that I was given for 'arguing in bad faith' to be removed - the subject of 'arguing in bad faith' being that the NBT would take months to be released.

You were not banned just due to this one incident. Your behavior has been consistently terrible whether it is on the discord or on the server. Unchanged as well considering the first thing you did since posting last year was continuing your inane argument. Since the last warning I applied on you, I noticed you've also been unceasing in your passive aggression and lack of respect for other people during the time you played, which is not what I'd call an improvement.

You earned the strike Alb applied due to your behavior, just like you earned this permanent ban for proving to me you are completely unchanged.

I will say that based on your notes in the last six months or so three separate staff members have documented in your notes that you're rude, passive aggressive or that your attitude in tickets is very poor. It also seems you have a habit based on your notes of being rude in OOC channels related to our community. It does logically follow I think that if you engaged in similar behavior here you should be removed from our community. I still need to review this latest incident.

I do not really understand what your issue is. You quoted Alberyk's message from december and said "FTR, it took months". I scrolled up to the initial argument from December and then i looked at the dates for the NBT testing announcement. It seems that at the time of the argument the dates where clearly listed and now three months later we have pretty closely followed that schedule. So i do not know why you quoted Alberyk.

The point made by Alberyk - or, at least, what I came away with, was everything would be up and running within a few months, so the whole premise of my idea of just doing several votes, a week long each, and dropping the least-voted ship name each week, was pointless. I maintained it wasn't, and that I figured the tests and map creation would be several months out still. So I nudged a few months later and pointed out that it did take several months, so his whole thing about the time it would take to do the vote was moot.

I'm not even sure what was hostile or negative about bringing it up?

It's worth mentioning that, just because I don't post every day, does not mean I don't check the Discord from time to time.

When did alberyk say that everything would up and running in a few months? All i see is him saying testing starts at the end of january. Regarding the voting system he did not want to run an overly complex voting method for an incredibly minor part of the map. As it says on the initial testing announcement thread we took the two most voted names and ran a week long vote between them.

The Discord logs from December were pretty charged up, and I think that aggression also shows through on the now closed complaint post on Alb even if they've moderated their language to an extent.

These are three snippets from the argument over the strike in particular. It was long, so these are only particularly charged ones chosen at random.

Then, NodNodNod posted again today and it was a continuation of the strike conversation. I know it was read already, but I will post it here for the benefit of review.

It's pretty self evident what they wanted to do here, I think. Passively aggressively snipe at Alberyk. There's no other reason for them to randomly quote that out of the blue, and then make a complaint about the strike now rather than back when it happened. If NodNodNod actually treated Alb with some respect I'd be more willing to believe this was something more innocent. They did end that one complaint with a pointed closing statement too.

Admittedly, the name of the ship is unimportant, but it was pitched as an idea to make people feel like they weren't stuck with a certain name because they couldn't vote for another candidate that they'd have rather had and potentially tipped the scales for that one to win (e.g., option A has 40%, option B has 35%, option C has 25% - so C would be dropped, and then B might end up with 55% vs 45%)

The whole thing only even stemmed from him getting upset that I didn't believe any forum timetable, because I've seen far, far too many planned SS13 timetables fall apart for x, y, and z reason.

God fucking forbid someone display skepticism regarding timetables, but apparently it's such a hot-button topic that the same mod that got positively upset that I ran by someone in a dark maintenance tunnel and didn't see them only to immediately bwoink me with accusations and claims that were false decided to throw a permaban out. Coincidence, that.

I'd like to not have the cherrypicked messages only from myself, if Wick is going to post things. Post what the context of them; what was said prior and after. If the most egregious thing I did, and what you call 'particularly charged' are me telling him to run his mental gymnastics however he needed to, then it's no wonder you leap straight to accusing people of false things and disrupting an ongoing round that certainly didn't necessitate an immediate bwoink mid-crisis. And now, I'm going off on a tangent - so let's veer riiiiight back into the meat of the issue.

Yes, I quoted Alb from December when he struck me. Yes, I did tell him that it took months, because he acted like the idea I had was terrible because the map would be done before then.

Shocker, it was not. Is it petty? You might argue that. Was it shitty? No. Telling me that I should've been more respectful when the first reaction is 'COPE'? Yeah, okay buddy. Because you wouldn't take offense if someone answered you in a ticket with 'COPE'. Sure thing.

The only coincidence was that I ended up seeing you beginning to harass Alb again. It was a definite factor behind the now permaban since your last warning is related to the same behavior you're displaying now. Swearing at people and calling them slurs will never be acceptable. I gave you a chance even after you did that to me as well, but it was with the expectation you'd do more than just not directly call someone something offensive. It was with the expectation you would treat people better.

"Beginning to harass"? Just like you saw me "beginning to" heinously violate the rules last time you attempted to moderate me and began throwing out accusations that were demonstrably false? So, to clarify here, you didn't actually ban me for anything other than what you thought might happen? Because I definitely hadn't done anything other than mention a previous conversation.

Correct me if I'm wrong though, please.

I'm not sure what you mean by "You didn't actually ban me for anything other than what you thought might happen". I did see you passively aggressively bringing up a prior argument. I promptly cut it short with the ban. Then it regressed into outright provocation on Alb's thread and now on this one.

An issue here, evidenced by the fact you even initially complainted Alb now rather than when it actually happened, not to mention you would have actually tried to go through with it if the strike wasn't already expired, is that you don't understand it's a result of your behavior. Even if you were "right" it would not have changed that you argued in bad faith. As it turns out, being a very rude person is a problem. That's been the core of seemingly every incident you've been involved in. So how could you ever even post something like...

"Explain to me how I 'keep coming to this Discord just to stir shit up' when I come back after a few months to protest a strike given poorly, if not unfairly, especially when what I said proved to be accurate and true?"

You called Alb a liar, got irate over being striked and then relapsed into swearing at people. Even though you said nothing that was "accurate and true", were you hypothetically correct you would still be in this complaint due to being a dick.

So my message is pretty clear. Be more considerate of others. If this ban is maintained you'll be free to appeal it when you apologize to Alb and enact actual change in how you handle what upsets you.

Like Bay, like Aurora, Cybs. Another community you'll drive into the ground. Let that one sink in.

I don't want to be a part of the community anymore, on second thought. Maintain it, mirror it in the server, do whatever. Not sorry. Both you and Alb are actual garbage-tier administrators and I won't ever apologize for that.

o7 god bless

Well you going mask off saves me the trouble of giving you some bad news. You are no longer welcome in this community. Do not ever appeal this.
