Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?:
I love robot characters a ton and helping with actions/helping people learn the game. The ways that synthetics interact with the world has always been super interesting to me. You have synthetics that are anything from detatched and cold to at least competently simulating human emotions convincingly. AI is a great way to do all of the above and more. An AI can be anything from a quiet door opener to your cackling SHODAN to a therapist friend that hangs out and makes sure you're doing well at all times. AI metaphorically and literally opens the door to a ton of different forms of interaction as one can be within the office of one character and walking another through the basics of their job.

Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?
No.

Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?
Yes

Absolutely love Variance, and their interactions with the crew. I've also always enjoyed JayJay's other characters, and I think I'll enjoy whatever they come up with for an AI as well. In addition JayJay has always been helpful OOC with sharing what they know of how the game works. In short: Interesting characters, wide experience in multiple roles, and a willingness to help players get acquainted gets a +1 from me.

I've played with VARIANCE frequently with my AI and Reporter characters. They play the role well, and what I especially like about VARIANCE is that they make an effort to interact with characters as a robot and roleplay being a lawbound robot well -- Rather than just being a faceless piece of equipment. 

They have always been a good robot under my AI's command, and I know they'll work to make any robots playing under their command in future have a cool round.

When subverted or given questionable orders, they have always enthusiastically played along so long as it is within their lawset.

I have watched them learn almost every department from my cyborg and AI characters, and I know they are qualified to oversee the ship's systems.

 

I look forward to being their loyal robot minion.

VARIANCE is always an extremely helpful and capable borg on any round they're in, and enjoyable to interact with. Given all their experience playing station/vesselbound robots, I have no doubt that they'll do an amazing job as an AI!

I've played with Jay pretty frequently during my limited time on Aurora, and for as much as it's worth I feel that if I were in the position of whitelist maintainer that I would be comfortable approving their position as an AI. Their different characters are varied enough rather than all being similar and their synthetics act suitably synthetic while not being boring.
