Chen Yakumo Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Reporting Personnel: Seiuu Souqx Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Surgeon Game ID: cjD-az99 Personnel Involved: Seiuu Souqx - Primary Victim Lila Semenov - Patient - Secondary Victim(?) Opus Five - Security Officer - Offender Secondary Witnesses: Francis Kelly, Warden - Was present for latter end of the accusations, and presumably for more of the shift. Time of Incident: (Unable to provide, left blank) Real Time: 01:15 (AM) Eastern Time, 08/28/2022 Location of Incident: Medbay Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [x] - Misconduct [x] - Other: Grave misunderstanding of Station Regulation and Ceti Law. Overview of the Incident: I had arrived quite late to the shift on the Horizon, and walked into the medical bay. A brief look around told me that no one had been present for this shift, so I began to make basic preparations, such as turning on the lights. Approximately thirty seconds after stepping into medbay, a patient was brought in by security forces, including the offender, Opus Five, and they had stated that the patient was suffering from severe contusions as well as broken ribs. A handheld medical scan indicated that the situation was far more dire, as the patient's blood pressure and blood oxygenation had dropped significantly and their brain activity had already dropped below fifty percent. I rushed them into the operating theatre and quickly treated most important injury, which was the heart failure. I also used the borrowed time from an inaprovaline injection to get a blood bag to help replenish any lost blood and keep them stable. During this time, unit Opus Five remained in medical and spoke multiple times over the security channel. Seeing as they were present, and the patient was in cuffs, I requested that they check the pharmacy fridge for alkysine, which we did not have. Due to this, I was forced to treat the patient's brain through surgery. There was a minor incident with the circular saw which caused an unexpected complication, but was easily fixed while the pateint was unconscious. I quickly searched for some bicaridine to treat the patient's physical injuries, but as we had no medical staff prior to my arrival we had none. As such, I used a tricordrazine and perconol mix to help treat the patient and woke her up. This is where the officer's misconduct becomes apparent. The patient is unable to stand properly due to the physical injuries she's received, but insists that I do not treat her further. Seeing as she is conscious, stable, and has verbally refused treatment, I immediately stop attempting to treat the patient. The offending unit, Opus Five, insists that I continue treatment despite this. I remind them that under corporate regulation and Ceti Law, I'm not permitted to do so. It insists that I get a body scan, which the patient once again refuses to get. It verbalizes it's demand that I scan them, before ultimately attempting to get the body scan itself. The patient manages to elude the officer's attempt, at which point Opus Five decides to remove the patient's handcuffs and advise seeking legal action against myself for 'horrible medical treatment.' At this time, the Warden, Francis Kelly, arrived and spoke with the patient. I am uncertain how much he was aware of. He ultimately did not pursue any form of action against myself or the patient. The patient, Lila Semenov, having calmed down, elected to remain in medical where I was able to finish treatment with no further complications. Seeing as the officer elected to release a prisoner without penalty and advise legal action against myself for saving the patient's life, and then following regulation and law while it itself broke those same regulations and laws, I informed it that it should seek out maintenance for it's positronic brain over PDA Messenger, as it clearly has encountered a grave error. It responded to inform me that I should contact it's company or an SCC Representative for any comments, questions, or concerns. So I am. Submitted Evidence: None. Unfortunately, due to the bluespace jump happening during my treatment of the patient, I was unable to properly secure the brief PDA conversation. Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [ ] - Yes [X] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: No Heads of Staff were present. Actions taken: This report. Additional Notes: I am very concerned by this unit's refusal to adhere to basic system maintenance when it's incapable of following or understanding station regulation and Ceti Law while contracted as a security officer.
