Personality

Why do you play SS13?:I enjoy being able to create and grow characters. I like the fact that this is a futuristic sci-fi world that has a lot of opportunity to be completely unique, and add onto it in many ways.

Why do you play on Aurora?:It’s the only server I’ve played on. I enjoy the fact that the community is role play based, where it’s taken seriously, but not too seriously.

What do moderators do?:Moderators hold down the fort, making sure the environment for role play is kept that way, as well as setting an example for behavior, and making sure others are holding up to the behavior the rules outline. Moderators help people in the sense that they’re who players are going to go to for problems involving the server, for the most part.

What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?:To be a moderator is to hold up the values of the server, in creating a place in which people can role play comfortably. Sometimes requiring yourself to be the bad guy. Being a moderator, to me, is acting as a kind of safe-base in which people should be able to come to you, in confidence, about any problems they’re finding when it comes to the server, and interactions within it.

Why do you want to be a moderator?:I want to be a moderator to be able to contribute to the community, because I really do enjoy it at its core. I also want to be able to gain experience, and learn from this.

What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: I believe some good qualities I possess are the abilities to remain relatively level-headed and objective. When dealing with any situation, I prefer to remain on the outside of it, and judge it fairly, without any personal opinions. However if I am personally involved, I try to get all the facts that I can, before I make any moves.

How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?:If I get angry, I normally don’t allow it to affect the way I handle a situation, because to me, I don’t want to regret the actions I take. Insults don’t usually mean much to me, and I can generally shake them off well in the face of the situation. However, I am learning ways to deal with it.

Overall, I really enjoy this server, despite times that I have become frustrated and would like to help contribute to it in the ways that I can. I know that I’m not maybe the best candidate, so any honest criticisms of my app or anything else, I welcome, and would like to hear.

If you were trapped on a sinking submarine with a greytiding bald, a baguette and an admin, what would you do in your last ten seconds?

Well, everybody knows greytide balds float in water. So after the admin bans the bald, he'd furiously bash open the windows with the baguette. All that'd be left to do, in those remaining few seconds, is hang onto him and float to the surface.
