Sycmos
Quote TO: Sez'rak Hansan, Xenoarchaeologist, SCCV Horizon FROM: Human Resources, AMS, NTCC Odin SUBJECT: RE: 10/02/2465 - Appeal -------------------- BODY: Thank you for submitting an appeal regarding standing actions against your employee profile. Unfortunately, after reviewing your contest, Human Resources have decided to deny your appeal. While we appreciate your investment in reconciling standing actions against your employee profile, the current appeal lacks the appropriate criteria to warrant consideration to lift your arranged demotion. Command members are held to a considerably higher standard of not only professionalism and work ethic, but responsibility to the Conglomerate and the objectives assigned to its flagship - the SCCV Horizon. Without strong and nonnegotiable standards for how we expect our command personnel to behave on board the vessel we cannot guarantee further success on its venture, and risk losses deemed unacceptable by its partner corporations. In order to be considered for reinstatement, Human Resources requires the following: - A clear, nonnegotiable understanding of the responsibilities of a Research Director, such as planning and supervising the safe and productive execution of extravehicular and exoplanetary operations, safe and efficient quarantine of anomalous materials, timely and accurate processing of required paperwork, delegation and explanation of tasks to subordinates, proper and effective communication with department staff, and appropriate but stern exercise of authority. - A clear, nonnegotiable understanding of the responsibility of being an SCC command staff member, and how command presence posits them in a place of scrutiny and authority, and how to properly exercise the latter (authority) in a place that mitigates the former (scrutiny) with both the Conglomerate and crew. - A clear, nonnegotiable understanding and acceptance of the expectations of effective management of a working vessel, and how these expectations may come at a social cost to one's reputation among crew and other command staff in the event of a conflict of social or ethical values. - Willingness and dedication to execute the above criteria and beyond as a representative of the Conglomerate, privileged with the authority bestowed upon them by their benefactors within. While not all-inclusive, these are but a number of qualities which Human Resources and by extension our superiors look for in regards to effective command staff. It is in the best interest of your position of privilege and prestige on the flagship of the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate to read and reflect upon these points, and reconcile any potential differences you may have to the best of your ability. Command is no easy or simple task, and thus the Conglomerate asks more of its crew who approach it. You will be permitted to apply for appeal in one (1) month from the time of the current appeal. -------------------- DTG: 24-02:06-TAU CETI STANDARD-02-2465 SIGN: AMS Link to comment
