Why do you wish to play this specific race: i think its cool that the Dionaea’s biology and their ability to gain memories from the blood and DNA of other species. Their adaptability to various environments. I also enjoy how they say we when speaking due to being built up of multiple nymphs. And i like their different mindsets and of course i love the mechanics 

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Role-playing as a Dionaea is different from a human because of their unique biology and mind structure. They are a collective consciousness, which means they have a different perspective on individuality and personal experiences. They also have a different way of learning and understanding the world around them, as they gain knowledge and experiences from the DNA of other species.

Character Name: “Glowing Light of Knowledge”: This Dionae spent its early years on a research vessel, absorbing knowledge from the scientists onboard. It developed a deep love for learning and discovery, which is reflected in its name.

Please provide a short backstory for this character: Glowing Light of Knowledge emerged into existence as a nymph within the nurturing embrace of a thriving Dionaea colony, nestled on the outskirts of a human space station. Unlike their counterparts, this particular nymph's journey began in close proximity to human scientists who were well-acquainted with the enigmatic ways of the Dionaea. The colony's proximity to humans allowed for frequent interactions, fostering an environment where mutual curiosity thrived. Glowing Light's early experiences were marked by a gentle exchange of knowledge and cooperation. The humans, intrigued by the unique biology of the Dionaea, welcomed their presence, recognizing the potential for mutual enrichment. As Glowing Light matured, their innate thirst for knowledge drove them to seek understanding and wisdom through interactions with various species. Their ability to adapt and learn from different life forms allowed them to appreciate the richness of experiences the galaxy had to offer. Glowing Light of Knowledge bestowed upon themselves this name as a testament to their unquenchable curiosity and their insatiable hunger for wisdom. It encapsulated their perpetual quest to illuminate the universe's secrets and their commitment to sharing the radiance of knowledge with all who crossed their path. Their interactions with humans from the CoC shaped their perspective on other species and synthetics, fostering a sense of respect and fascination. In terms of career aspirations, Glowing Light developed an interest in biological research. They aspire to join Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals, a research-

 

focused megacorporation under the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate (SCC). They view Zeng-Hu as an ideal platform for their biological research interests and appreciate its commitment to scientific exploration. This aligns with Glowing Light's pursuit of universal knowledge and their goal to contribute to the scientific community. Their exposure to various beliefs and ideologies led them to develop a nuanced view of the Eternal or CT-EUM. They respect these entities as manifestations of collective consciousness but remain primarily committed to their pursuit of universal knowledge

 

How would you rate your role-playing ability? I would rate my role-playing ability as pretty good. My biggest challenge is initiating a role-play scenario, but once I’m in, I perform well.

Notes: This is my third application and I’m happy that my second application has been accepted. The Dionaea species wiki is very polished and I’m excited to role-play as this species. The last species I got was Unathi.

Glowing Light values cooperation with synthetics in the Coalition of Colonies, fostering mutual respect and understanding.

The main issue is that it feels like you aren’t really engrossing yourself within Dionae Lore, more so only touching on the surface elements. I tried to explore this with questions but your answers weren’t really satisfactory.

Youre nearly there! For your next application I’d advise going over previous applications, asking questions in the lore discord, and reading over the pages again.

You don’t have to play an application character! But for your first, I’d advise making a character that touches on significant pieces of lore. Take for example one of the minor dionae factions, or Dionae from the Eternal Gardens!
