Game ID: 2023-09-27 04:24:36 is when the warning was given. I do not know the ID.
Reason for complaint: "AFKing in a limited slot role for nearly an hour. Don't do this again" Not very happy with implications of end remark of the reasoning.
Evidence/logs/etc: I was asleep.
Additional remarks:

It was late at night lowpop hours. I fell asleep at my desk at may I repeat again, lowpop hours taking a medical intern slot of all things. I normally would be pretty over the entire warning but the addition of 'Don't do this again' makes it sound like I could be banned for having shitty sleep issues if it does happen again. I'd like to find out if this is true, I cannot help it sometimes I just fall asleep sometimes late in the night, It's happened more than a couple handful of times to me, and if I can be banned for falling asleep at lowpop hours in a less important jobslot in medical, I'd rather like to spend my time elsewhere if the warning is implying this.

Was informed this was the correct place to put this by Roostercat12.

“Don’t do this again” is me telling you to not do it again. Yes, you can be banned at some point if you continue this. Typically escalation goes Note, Warning, Temp ban, Job Ban, Permanent ban.

I skipped the note because a warning informs you and makes it so that you have to acknowledge before you can play.

Also, intern roles are for new players to play and learn. This round was not low-pop, we had a large manifest, and several players online at this time.

I am sorry that you are having sleep issues, but if you know that you are that tired- then maybe it is best to just cryo out.

I believe we're going to get into semantics if I go back and forth with you, you do not seem like an enjoyable person to converse with. I had written a paragraph in response to what you have posted but have decided against posting it.  I will not be responding to you any further then a staff member responding to their own complaint makes you look insufferable.

@Jerkmilder Hi, I'm incredibly sorry that you find me to be insufferable. I do not really know who you are, or why you are so defensive. But, all well?

I am allowed to respond to a complaint made against me. You must be new here, which is totally fine. We operate in a system where if a complaint is made against someone - whether it be Player, Staff or Character, you are allowed to respond to it.
You have an issue with a warning that I placed, so, I explained my reasoning to you.

Also, attacking me personally is a breach in our rules. Please read them here - https://forums.aurorastation.org/guidelines/ Thanks!

I'll handle this now. I think there are a few misconceptions in your post that come as a result of Aurora staff handling things differently from other servers (and maybe unintuitively).

If we want something to be seen to the other person (generally if they logged out) we use warnings because they prevent you from joining unless acknowledged. It doesn't really necessarily mean that you'll get banned on the next go. Even if Read only noted you in this instance, if it happened again you'd still get a warning.

Staff members generally respond to their own complaints as a form of courtesy. It doesn't mean that they're handling the complaint itself, just that they're trying to explain their viewpoint to you. I'm not sure why you'd call her insufferable when all she's done is just explain what she did.

That said, I do think the warning's wording is maybe a bit too hostile, and I don't like part of her reply above. I'll be talking to Read about these two things, but the warning will stand. Locking in 24 hours.
