ZipZero Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 In the interest of writing backstories for some of my characters, I have a few questions regarding bluespace travel: Have there been any instances where a ship, or part of a ship, has completely vanished while traveling through bluespace? What does a person see while in bluespace? Is it, well... blue? Are you just not in bluespace for long enough to see it?
Covert0ddity Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 We've got some basic lore on hand for blue space, but it still needs some refining and some tweaks to fit in with whaatnwe have. Mechanics here: http://aurorastation.org/wiki/index.php?title=Bluespace As far as what you see, BS travel is instantaneous via gate and instantaneous via drive-gate transportation. Customn coordinates, and it's likely undescribable colors and weird, non euclidian shapes.
Rusty Shackleford Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 I've always imagined that when a ship makes a Bluespace jump, everyone aboard would see this bright, iridescent neon-blue glow outside. Because it sounds cool.
