This is in general against the AI Whitelist team, Melariara is just the one who had to send the message. No hard feelings. Evidence/logs/etc: Additional remarks: This is all I received when being told to no longer utilize Paladin, an AI I have played frequently whenever I have time to hop back on the game for a while. This AI personality has existed since the Aurora and has received no complaints until today. Thus I am lodging a complaint to try and receive the following: Why is this AI personality, after so long, now being restricted from use? Has any rule been broken by utilizing this personality? Does this AI detract from any given round in any way? This AI usually offers people something to grumble and chit chat about or have fun debates as to 'what is my title'! I would like to know what I have done wrong with this particular AI to warrant the whitelist team no longer wishing to see them about, as I have yet to see any detrimental effects come about as a result of its personality. Thank you.
Lilly Evans Posted March 8, 2024 Author Posted March 8, 2024 I do wish to add that I agreed to cease playing paladin after the screenshot above and wiped them for the round. I thought best to bring the complaint here and not argue in game. I wish to reiterate that Mel was polite and concise with their request. I have no issue with how it was handled, just the decision itself.

This is the first time I ever filled one of these out and the only reason I put that screenshot with you in there is just for clarity that I was being asked to not play that AI anymore. My apologies if I implicated that this was -YOU- as an individual and not directed at that team.

I have not seen this AI used in some time, and if I was online to see this happening then I would have messaged you myself. The name is fine. Here is the official ruling - "I do not care if they play an AI named "Paladin" but the medieval personality, referring to things as the "SCC Kingdom", "Artificial Guardian", "SCC Lords", etc just isn't what we should be seeing from an AI. It's a tool, not a character. I think some personality is fine, but they should not have an overly-personable gimmick." - From me directly. Does this help you understand what the AI team wants from AI? The AI should be a tool, a system. Think of the V.I from Mass Effect. We want more V.I's, not AI's like Cortana or Black Box from Halo.

I believe this completely satisfies what I sought when opening this complaint and gives me better direction for playing future AI's that I wished to obtain. This can be, I believe, considered closed.

Wonderful. I want to clarify that you're free to keep playing Paladin (using the name), just lighten up on the medieval aspect.
