How long have you been playing on Aurora?

Two years? Too long probably. I think my first day playing was January 4, 2022.

Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?

I got warned about chasing a guy into maintenance on OG Aurora the first time I joined, way back. As in verbal warning, not a note or so forth.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?

Head of Staff are roles made for several purposes. Leading a department, to warming up new players or acting as a catalyst for new characters, to facilitating or maybe generating a narrative throughout the round, for the crew or their department, antag or no antag. Command should actively work to bring direction to their department or the ship in general and keep a consistent level of communication and engagement with other players in round via announcements or intermediate updates regarding a developing situation.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?

Whitelisted players have the responsibility of demonstrating the server’s customs, rules, and lore in a way which reflects whatever whitelist they hold. I for example, hold a Tajara whitelist at the moment, this means I am expected to know Tajara lore in a more thorough and in-depth way than perhaps someone without it. A Command whitelist holds more scrutiny and far more round-influencing ability than an alien whitelist. It is important that members of Command do their best to shepherd the round for the enjoyment of as many players as they can. Using gameplay tools and good faith to not shutdown an antagonist’s round right away is part of this shepherding: proper escalation, limited knowledge, and extending olive branches of interaction.

Explain how the recent events in the Spur changed your character and how they came to be employed on the SCCV Horizon.

Mister Armand has been positively impacted by the wider Spur’s economical issues throughout most of his working life. Though, the compounding cultural and media insulation of coming to age in a rural community, living within Dominia, and on Sun Reach has left Armand isolated from the Spur’s cultural influences or constant events for at least half of his life. The majority of his employment has been spent in the Helium-3 industry on Sun Reach and the broader Empire, making any new Phoron-related drama or crisis either unheard of, to be noted, or beneficial to the Sun Reacher’s career until eventually reaching his abroad employment in a managerial position within Zavodskoi in his late 20’s to now mid-30’s.

Within the year the most effecting news would be the Rampancy Virus, something which only reinforced the lifetime Tribunalist. Though well aware that IPCs are infact not immediately rogue agents or zombiefied hostiles, Armand toes the line of cordiality, sometimes actively working to disengage with the Z.I’s he works alongside during his aboard employment with Zavodskoi.

What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?

Operations Manager

Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?

Yes

Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking:

Armand Gessler, Operations Manager

Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?

Yep

Have you linked your BYOND account to the Forums?

Yes

Jeff is someone who helped me start roleplaying on the server, and I consider all their characters to be exceptional for HRP standards. I've personally been waiting for a command character (OM yay) in this case to, so easy +1 from me.

Jeff has contributed one of the fondest characters I've enjoyed engaging with. They know their department top to bottom, demonstrate the ability to participate in gimmicks without hampering them, and continue to be a source of quality interaction for anyone they come across in game. I have no doubt they'll perform to whitelist standards and more. +1

As a miner, I've had really good experiences with Armand Gessler! He's been very proactive and very interested in what I've been doing, not to mention just a plain interesting character I'd love to see more of. +1

Attentive, knowledgeable, communicative, and efficient. From what I've seen and experienced, Armand keeps tabs on everyone in the department as well as he can and does his best to keep people involved when they're looking a bit lost. However he FAILED to defend his job from the usurping synthetic and thus I am forced to give him +1

Communicative, assertive and knowledgeable of the department; basically everything you want from a command player. In particular, I appreciate Gessler's efforts to engage other players, from recruiting random assistants to paying out bonuses for bounties (I really enjoy department gimmicks like the latter). He also responds well to antagonism from what I can tell, tolerating my nonsense for a time but still cracking the whip in the absence of more appropriate heads of staff.
