General Whitelist Requirements

What colour do you plan on making your first alien character?: Wheat

Have you read the lore pages for the species you wish to be whitelisted for?: Yes.

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question.

Why do you wish to play this species?:

To be completely Honest with you if you know me, I am a big history guy and especially when its about war and I really enjoy the history of the Tajaran species when it comes to that fact. I like the way it mimics real life occurrences and how it is still in the aurora setting but seemingly years behind in human history. The Articles written by the Tajaran lore team especially the ones during the second revolution really have that style of writing that I really enjoy and you hear about all of these pushes and retreats with propaganda sprinkled into the articles. I really got into the DPRA due to how they operate as a decentrilized faction with parts of them being Militaristic while parts of them being Civilian and that they are just not as advanced as the other factions because they steal their research but they just use it better and they got nuked and still kept fighting and took the city back.

What makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a human?:

Well when we put aside the obvious differences of biological differences. There are lots of cultural differences that Tajarans have over Humans especially because they are not as culturally advanced as Humans they have/had a caste system based on ethnicity of the Tajarans as humans did way before and there is still oppression of many beliefs and ways of living that are more usual in human space these days. Most Tajarans have also lived through a war on the ground as soldiers or as civilians but everyone was affected by the push and pull of the three factions. The Three factions interacting with eachother is also very interesting since all of them have differing views on what is best for adhomai and the tajaran people.

Character Application

Character Name: Ramzi Ma'jid

Write a backstory for your character. This may include their origin, education, personality and how they arrived to the SCCV Horizon.

I decided the best way to show you a character was by making the character talk to you directly but for the sake of someone having to read this I left out the rolling of r's

Act 1 Olska

He was born in 2443 in the city of Olska during a difficult birth, which tragically took his mothers life and left his father grieving. His father, a veteran from the first revolution, believed that a strong son would bring forth a better future for Adhomai. As such, he was trained from a young age to hunt and fight, he would say that he is thankful for his fathers efforts, because he is alive now and speaking to you, if it was due to the training he does not know but he believes that it was. Even if it wasn’t he enjoys the memories of the time he spent with his father.

His father taught him Siik’tajr aswell, in school, he learned how to write and read Siik’Maas which he wasn’t very proficient at but it was enough for him but he sees that his childhood is rather boring for them so he will jump a bit forward in time to the day where everything changed.

One day, he was visiting his sick friend as he did not have many and leaving her alone would be very unkind of him, especially as her Mother was out of town watching the military parade, just like his father, they were watched by her neighbour at the time. After some time she turned on the Television to watch the parade too but she tuned in at the wrong time as it was shortly before President Hadii’s assassination.

Act 2 The Mountains

It was all so fast, he remembers staring at the Television even after the neighbor quickly turned it off and his friend was crying and balling her eyes out. His father picked him up a few days after and ran off with him and brought him to a “safe” place in Olska with other children from defecting families.
His father told him that he had to leave to fight for what he believed is right , he didn’t understand at the time but the papers he read spoke of major Victories of the Winter offensive but his father never returned and he was left to fend for himself until a distant uncle took him in. He was naive at the time and believed his uncle was there to save him, bring him far away from this war that had already taken everything from him but he was stupid the war only took and never returned.
His uncle wanted him to be a fighter for the ALA so he was put on a ship towards southern Ras’nrr and as soon as he arrived he was put to work fighting for a guerilla cell day in and day out he either trained or fought, he hated it. He remembers the Twenty-Fourth day of November of 2458 where he and a few others went to burn villages around Nal’tor while the larger guerilla forces headed to the city itself. He managed to ambush the local enforcers and overwhelm them. It wasn't hard as they were like confused fatshouters trying to find their zhsram as they strayed far from their herd and were picked off by a pack Ha’rron. He was ordered to stop every PRA aligned tajaran from leaving the village alive. He did as he was told like a good soldier would and fired upon every tajaran he saw, He is disgusted by his actions on that day but he remembers a life he possibly saved that day the life of a younger tajara he believes she was around his age, it was a Njarir, he is certain. She was running away with her mother holding her hand. He fired at them but missed to signal to them that they have been spotted and she should run faster so she could escape but one of his comrades took aim at them too, he had to act and bumped his comrade and threw off his aim enough for the Njarir and her mother to open the gate and escape the burning village and this hell.

His Comrades if he even can call them that weren’t happy with his mercy and in their eyes sabotage so on the way back to camp they grabbed him and bound him to chair with rope as they took turns beating and slashing him but as he was fading in and out of consciousness he could only think of his childhood friend, the only friend that stood by him all those years ago. After they were bored with him, they decided to leave a mark, one that would never fade. Ramzi lifts his right hand with the missing ring finger
He doesn’t miss his finger much as through the loss of his finger he can assure himself that if he finds his friend again he can look her in her eyes, proud of what he has survived and as a tajaran rather than a beast.

His Uncle never returned from Nal’tor however, even though his Uncle brought him to this fate he was still family and as he is now older he can forgive him for pulling him into this conflict.

Act 3 Das'nrra

He spent a few months with the same guerilla cell eagerly awaiting his sixteenth birthday so he could fight for the last thing he had left in his life. The day he turned sixteen he left his “Comrades” and his atrocities in the mountains.
He was proud to sign up to be a true soldier and during his training he learned a lot from the veterans and they truly did a good job to prepare them for battle but nothing could’ve prepared us for the upcoming battle. He found some friends in the base they were trained at, good friends. They were all shipped out to the Das’nrra front to reinforce the Das’nrra offensive to finally push the PRA off the Island. When they arrived at the front he was greeted with true comradery and brotherhood, he enjoyed the short respite that his comrades gave him. The next day he was deployed into an active forward offensive as shots rang out near him and the screams of the fallen overtook his senses…He remembered all the years before, he remembered what his father taught him and he returned fire. He still hears the sound of his comrades…No, friend's helmet being punctured when he attempted to peek out of cover. He managed to survive the battle but he had no time to mourn the loss of his friend.
He was a Zhan, a very brave zhan.

He saw flashes on the horizon as the republican guard descended on the PRA defensive positions to reinforce them as the cowards ran for the ships.
The Republican guard held against the assault even as their position was crumbling. He never believed a Hadiist could fight so well but they didn’t fight well enough to avoid being shot by the Das’nrra marksmen. He heard a war cry roll over the hill as the horde of men stood up and charged the last hold of the republican guard and with that his last friend, a fellow M’sai was shot during the charge and slowly bled out onto his white fur as he could do nothing to save them. He never knew their names but he thanks them for their sacrifice.

Act 4 Little Adhomai

After the armistice was signed, he was discharged from the military. He had nowhere to go anymore, The war was over, He had no purpose anymore. He couldn’t return to his hometown anymore as it was NKA territory. He thought that after the first revolution and the fight his Father fought that there would be no more monarchism upon Adhomai, but well - stupid people exist everywhere. Remember, he told you he was stupid once before, you could say that is how he came to sit here in front of you.
He decided to leave Adhomai, to leave the blood in the snow behind and start a new life so he called an old comrade of his to help him off-world but as Crevus is, everything has a catch so he had to guard the smugglers wares as they headed off-world towards Tau Ceti and his new life.
When they arrived at Little Adhomai, he didn’t have any money to buy shelter but a tajaran in a suit approached him with an offer he couldn’t refuse, because he was in need of credits.
He worked in a restaurant as a bartender for some time and then war found him again as the Little Adhomai riots began and his home with all of his belongings was burnt down. He decided to do what he is best at and signed up with the Kazarrhaldiye Operations Group that was taking lots of second revolution veterans in at the time and giving them safer jobs than what was found in Little Adhomai. That is how, after some time, he landed here on the Horizon.

How has the recent events of the Orion Spur impacted your character? Events such as the Phoron Scarcity, the Solarian Collapse or even the Invasions of Biesel for interstellar-wide affairs, while region-specific events such as the Peacekeeper Mandate, The Titan Rises or even Cold Dawn may impact your character.

In the Second Revolution he was taken as a child soldier and forced to do heinous shit that he is even disgusted by all these years later. When he finally joined a formal military for the Das'nrra offensive he was again hit with the horrors of war and new found respect for the ones who stood and fought that war instead of running. It changed him from the sweet child he was before into a hardened veteran having lost the chance to be a child and have a proper education for training regimes to make him a soldier.

In Little Adhomai he started to settle in, even got a nice job in a Restaurant but then a molotov was thrown through the Restaurant's window and as the Restaurant and his Apartment burned down so did his New Life and that's how he got into KOG in the first place - to do what he was evidently good at and make money to fund and try to somehow salvage a happily ever after.

How does your character view the megacorporation they work for?

The Kazarrhaldiye Operations Group for Ramzi is a means to an end as he cannot easily get a job anywhere else due to a lack of formal education or really any training that would put him in a stable job that could carry him to retirement. KOG pays him for what he is good at and he doesn't stay in one place for too long either so he doesn't have to worry much about his home being taken over or burnt down while he is away and his belongings are always safe with him but after so much fighting he doesn't know how long he can keep going but this is his only option.

Incredible, one of the best interpretations of a child solider I've seen in a long time. Also, an amazing roleplayer who brings a ton of fun and investment into his characters.

+1, welcome to Adhomai.

In all seriousness, Tzui has wooed me from the start with characters like Hans Jaeger (never forgetting that dude btw) and Samuel Hound, with Yasuko being one of my personal favorites. I love the personality he gives them and how he stands out among his peers. Give him another whitelist, will you please?
