Species Representation: Unathi & Tajara Anatomy

Type: Design/Drawing

Long Description:

I really liked the recent expansions of the xeno lores, and I thought it'd be nice to have soem drawing to represent the tajara and the unathi anatomy. I did my research based on what I saw on the Aurora and Bay12 wikis, and made these designs. As usually I'm open to the people's opinions ^-^ Jsut hope that this'll be of any use =p

Personally I prefer the tajara design :3

So, uh....how do Unathi sit on chairs? I mean, from the lore-page, unless I've read something wrong, they're reverse jointed, like a birds, that must lead to some uncomfortable relaxing sessions.

How I see the Uneth.

I really like an idea like this.

Maybe just. Shift the proportions slightly, so they're slightly... off, from what huamns have. Like maybe the Tajarans have abnormally long forearms or something. And maybe different numbers of fingers. And maybe one or the other could have abnormally long, slightly creepy fingers.

Since this is species specific, I'll kindly delegate this to Jack and Sue respectively, myself or they will reply when there is an answer! :)

Unathi are s'posed to be heavily armoured. Apparently there's a trend of people playing 'soft scaled' Unathi (FOR ERP I BET) so this could be an anatomy of that race of the species?

I tried adding some little features, and I'm experimenting with the unathi

That is still the Tajaran one.

Alright. The tajaran side is accepted. This will be locked and archived once the new unathi one is posted and accepted by Jackboot.

I know you're a strikingly on-point member of the lore team, Xander, but hold your horses about accepting this, won't you? While the quality of the Taj drawings are lovely, they are factually misleading - due to no side view nor shading being present - and possibly inaccurate with regards to feet.

I'm not sure what your edit accomplished, Catti. First you had their feet be paw-like with claws, then you changed them to look more humanoid, without claws. If this was a response to Jamini saying Taj feet are digitigrade, that's not what digitigrade means. And the feet you depicted look - from the lack of side view or shading present - plantigrade.

In my opinion, there needs to be at least either a side view or shading present before this can even be considered to be accepted. Also, an official statement on what Taj and Uneth feet actually are.

I am an on-point member, thanks for noticing ;D any Lore Application that directly conflicts with current lore, is considered a lore alteration (why these apps were renamed from backstory to an all purpose canonization app) . Our Taj Lorewriter Sue, having accepted it, has made this our new Tajaran anatomy.

Tajaran are digitigrade. That is difficult to express with a forward facing view, and I'm not anal enough to demand a side view just to get the point across.

We can take the side view that Cresc has (with the plantigrade part cropped out) and the diagram proposed by Citti and then just have them with each other on the wiki.

I won't raise much more of a fuss over it. But the front view still looks really plantigrade.

They should look as if they are standing on their toes/front of their feet,

This is a fantastic reference to use when trying to draw bestial digitigrade, and how they would move. (Yes, it's a furry comic artist. Shh.)

Could you make the necessary adjustments Cat?

I'll give you until sunday to make the necessary changes to the drawing as well as post the revised Unathi one. If you do not meet this deadline the application will be denied.
