Why do you wish to play this specific race:

I have spent the last year and a half playing Tajaran on another Extended RP server and exclusively playing on that single server for this whole time, This is my first time taking a step beyond that community and looking for a new place to RP. Call it my comfort zone or whatever label suits it, I simply enjoy playing Tajara more than other races and have been for the last year and a half.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:

Short answer? EVERYTHING! ... Role playing an alien essentially affects everything you do, from how you think and interact with the world, To your life views, your values, all the way down to how one might conceptualize a human words, In the case of Tajara ears and tail come into play when using descriptive narrative to communicate emotion and mind state such as folded back ears or a calm lazily swaying tail,

Character Name: Kanza Al'Kalak

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Kanza's family was taken from homeworld around the times of initial first contact with humans, This included her mother, her father and her two siblings. Taken by an old industrial tycoon named Rand Lonemen owner and founder of Infinity Dynamics, "Id" is a mid-level resource acquisition corporation. The family of Tajara was "employed" at the Lonemen private residential compound located in the outer rim, The family worked and lived at the residence in isolation of the larger universe around them.

Kanza was the first and only Tajara born after her family was taken from Ahdomai almost 13 years ago, she was considered a runt and premature by almost a three a month human equivalent, her mother died shortly after giving birth due to complications, Kanza grew up playing with a human child and has imprinted many of her personality quirks to that of a five year old, however these quirks aside she manifests a high degree of intelligence often through an "item of worship" like a small toy(Ducky!).

When Kanza turned 17 the old tycoon Rand Lonemen died suddenly, however taking a sort-of father daughter likeing to the little Tajaran that was born in his home, the old man left a trust for her family, The trust pays NT to keep Kanza working for humans and learning from them, The family however does not know about the trust fund and currently lives in a small NT orbital housing unit also paid for by the trust. The fund is sizable and defaults over to NT at the end of the family's 2nd generation (If Kanza or siblings have kids) even with knowledge the Trust can't be used otherwise. She currently works as a cargo tech (as planned job)

What do you like about this character?

I just enjoy playing this char, she's friendly to the core almost always full of energy and happy.

How would you rate your role-playing ability?

I try to do my best but I'm not so much qualified to rate myself, That's for others to judge. However for this character I have never had complaints in the past.

Well I'm just one guy. If people around here give you there bout of confidence then that'll usually get you accepted. But it's hard for anyone to give a thumbs up without any prior knowledge of you or your roleplaying.

Even to people I've known for years on other servers, I normally suggest playing at least a few rounds as a normal human on Aurora. If only so that people get to meet you and know you.

I'd be worried that Kanza would be "too human", which is not a statement I make often. However, nonhumans growing up in human households always have me on-edge. It is not easy to play a character in such a situation that is really distinctive.

It's hard to properly translate how this char acts with text and she is no human by far. I always hated the fact the place I came from that when I gave up lore-min of the Tajara people started getting accepted into the race and acting as I call it "Like humans with fur and a tail" Kanza sill grew up with her father and siblings but her primary exposure to human social interactions where with a child growing up. it would make more sense seeing her in action to understand it as I do it no justice with words

Some of it's lore, near the end was planned events over a year, I just enjoy playing them, I Ask for a chance, And If I'm doing it wrong or poorly I am always open to better coaching of my RP to better suit local lore, If you don't have the time for that it's on me to adapt or lose the privilege.

This is also another timeline/rewrite I was working on before stepping down from said role due to creative differences from up high, I wanted to make them more of a race, the master lore people wanted spacebums.

I do enjoy borg and have played a number of rounds with ADAMA, I'm still learning how to handle myself in a place that may have antags and how to play and not spook people with my actions. Like the other day for example I had heard an IPC talking about the flame of life and some general religious RP, I thought I'd humor it and bring an empty borg shell over to the chapel, see if it could get some life flame in it, another borg online, help the crew, or what I thought would play out as some innocent RP with the chaplain that goes nowhere with an empty shell of a borg unit. That backfired and I think I understood why, All about learning I know this..

I have been playing on Hypatia Extended RP for so long as the only place since i joined the game. so maybe if you know anyone from said community or are on good terms at all, they can give view on Kanza for whatever that's worth.
