Why do you wish to play this specific race:

Dionae are the only race alongside Skrell that I don't have a whitelist for, which is dumb because I'm the loremaster and should love all my babies. I also haven't seen much around anymore. To specifically answer the question, Dionae are entertaining specimens that always provide interesting situations. Good or bad, encounters with Diona are usually memorable.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:

Dionae are slow motherfuckers, and can take a punch like a champ. They also aren't a single organism, but an eco-system that works together to create the personality and body of the specific Diona. It's not one person, it's not two people: a dionae is an experience. They've even reached a symbiosis with the galaxy, with human and Skrell spreading Dionae samen (yes that's the term read the wiki) to systems that the Dionae can't reach, in exchange for allowing miners and salvagers onto their original superstructure located around a star, taking from it rare gasses and minerals only available to these creatures.

They're slow and thoughtful, if only because their thought processes and speech are much slower and deliberate than the other races. Lore tidbit: they actually drive the Skrell delegates in meetings with them on the verge of insanity, due to the immense length of time it takes for the Dionae to go through the motions. Like C-span slowed down to .25x.

Character Name:

A Dying Star Reaching The Catalyst of Agony as The Cold Solar Winds Strip The Warmth From Its Skin

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

His life cycle began around a dying star, which was just tapering off to become a white dwarf rather than have an explosive ending as a supernova. The experience of growing around this star and experiencing it's cycle through the slowly weakening radiation and sunlight strength made him care deeply about the suffering in the universe. After his growth was completed, he decided to do something about it.

Experiences with the Skrell and humanity molded his philosophy further, until he decided that the root cause of suffering was not physical ailments, but injustice. Injustice causes the ailments that torment life, through the injustice of sentients or the cold, unthinking, arbitrary injustice of the universe itself.

Unfortunately, attempting to explain this to the Nanotrasen Recruitment Officer took 4 hours, and the distraught official finally screamed "YOU CAN GO THROUGH THE SECURITY CADET PROGRAM BUT MOTHER OF GOD PLEASE GET TO THE POINT ALREADY"

And thus ADStRTCATCSWSTWFIS, or more simply, "Catalyst of Winds", became a security cadet, much to his confusion, because he would much rather have become a lawyer instead. He was unable to articulate this to the recruitment officer, who simply shoo'd him out before having a nervous breakdown, leaving Catalyst on a path of justice... If he ever gets promoted.

He's potentially my most deliberate character; if not the most unique.
