Unrestrict Thermal Drill

Title. It cannot be used on the Horizon, which seems like an unnecessary feature. Especially when it is not given an emag interaction at all to get rid of it. It is already rather unwieldly as a weapon given it has a chargeup and takes a few seconds to complete the entire burst. Not to mention a rather inconsistent feature; why can plasma cutters, KAs, and various other dangerous tools function on the Horizon, but the drill cannot.

Fun fact: you can change the fire mode on the thermal drill to instead instantaneously and continuously fire while holding left click, no charge time allowing you to move while firing (there was a funny bug that you would walk into your own beam and end up shooting yourself with it), and infinite ammo! (to a point I think, but still infinite ammo that recharges stupid fast)

 

I'm more keen on a rebalance of the gun itself, the reason the hard lock was put in the first place was because of how insanely OP it was, but damage was nerfed, then it was buffed again but then again hard locked to be off Horizon Z-levels. IMO its a weird "tool" that I personally think is trash for mining but makes away sites a cake walk. Fyni can attest to how much they would ruin certain events revolving around simple mobs lol

Why do you think it is trash for mining? In my experience it has been quite elite.

Though I agree a rebalance would be interesting.
