Draculabot
BYOND key: Draculabot Character names: Marco Farerra, Rebecca McGrath How long have you been playing on Aurora?: A few months. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I wish to have my whitelist status re-approved. Why did you come to Aurora?: Because Aurora has the best roleplayers, and it doesn't suck. The map is given constant attention, the sprites are good, and the mods are communicative people, rather than out-and-out aholes. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is collaborative writing and acting combined, rolling with a narrative that everyone implicitly agrees to work together to move forward with. Roleplaying, for the lack of a better phrase, is an underappreciated form of artistic expression and is a hobby for the masochistic and creative alike. Roleplaying is stepping out of the skin you were born in and assuming the life of another person- If just for a little while. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: A head of staff is supposed to keep his people, or his station, or his department in line. A head of staff is meant to be an example, a positive one, for those that answer to him, and the head of staff is meant to know how to solve problems if no one else can come up with ideas. Honor, duty, service and sacrifice are the cornerstones of being a head- They work for the station, rather than the other way around, and must uphold protocol and the corporate regulations as if they were written by God herself. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I have taken serious looks at how I've played head roles, and given my numerous failures in security. I believe the whitelisted head is meant to serve as an OOC example for other players, and react patiently rather than violently. I have made this mistake, and I seek to atone for it and improve upon my playstyle constantly for the betterment of my fellow players. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Marco Ferrera Character age: 33 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Born in Rome, Italy, in the overpopulated filth of Old Earth, Marco Ferrera is the son of a military star frigate captain native to the area and a woman from Beisel. He grew up in a regimented lifestyle, with service pounded deep into his skull from an early age. Excelling in his military academy trainings, Farrera joined on to NanoTrasen at the age of 18. For the next fifteen years, Marco was a security operative working on NanoTrasen stations and ships, guarding plasma mining operations and eventually gaining promotions and valorous marks due to his hard work and dedication. Eventually getting his L/Tpr patch after years of service in the Emergency Response Division, Marco was forced to retire due to injury, after a laser blast took out an eye and a portion of his brain. Recovering from cybernetic implantation surgery to repair his skull, Marco met a woman by the name of Maggie and started a family. After some difficulty in rehabilitation, Marco rejoined service recently, despite having a young pair of twins at home, and has been applying for a Captain or Commander position aboard a NanoTrasen station. What do you like about this character?: I like Marco due to his reverence for the law. I like Marco because he loves to run drills, he knows the importance of appearance (he rarely wears armor on Green, and likes to keep his eyes visible- To better establish a rapport or kinship with the people he's working with, rather than give off the stormtrooper vibe) and values hard work and bravery. What do you dislike about this character?: Marco can be a stone wall, and stubborn to a fault, refusing to yield if pressed hard by higher command if their orders mean stepping beyond his stringent moral guidelines. He's ardently religious - As an atheist, I'm stepping out of my comfort zones considerably. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Hard work, ethics, and coming up with ways to keep the crew involved and fun. Drills, communication conferences between sections of the ship, and eliminating chair RP by getting people active and moving in-game. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 7/10 - I've fucked up bad in the past, but I'm trying to do better. I miss playing Marco as he was intended to be, at a higher-leveled rank. Extra notes: I'm aware of my mistakes, and I'm leaving myself open for criticism here. I'm trying to do better. josh1133
As a mod, I have seen Dracula improve quite a bit in their time since joining Aurora. Despite some incidents, I believe they could be a good head and create interesting roleplay once again for the department they lead. Link to comment
enkas
I have interacted with Dracula several times. Most of the times, I had had quite interesting RP with her, and she is one of those people who would emote first, and robust, only after another person started robusting. I am quite confident in her ability to be in a head position (again), as I have already seen her there. Link to comment
nanotoxin
I've only ever interacted with Dracula minimally, only his IPC SAM and the engineer chick. But I think Dracula would make a great addition to the whitelist. He's got my endorsement. Link to comment
Japak121
I enjoy playing with Draculabot and there characters. They have a solid understanding of RP and I especially like that before any sort of combat, they always attempt dialoge or /me, even as Rebecca, Dracula's wildest character. This, to me, shows a clear and mature view of how RP is done and I believe that I would enjoy interecting with a head of staff played by them. Link to comment
Guest
I believe you are the one that destroyed Nik's face in the bathroom with actual RP involved. Although I dislike Rebecca as a character ICly, I do like you. Endorsed. Link to comment
